My personal favourite in the region. Syrah and negrette blend. Classic nose of Syrah (licorice, plum, cherry, spices) with a violet flower twist. Palate with some density and complexity where both varietals play their part : plum, violet again, acidity, long finish. Very good wine from toulouse for less than 10€. Quite tasty. Good Anderson valley fruit, it's distinct from the RRV and Sonoma coast...Dirty nose featuring plenty of barnyard, but some nice red ripe fruit as well on the palate. Sadly just a tad too hot, at 14.5%abv. Makes for excellent BBQ wine however. — 9 years ago
