Frog's Tooth

Calaveras Grenache 2011

Complex wine, brings in plenty of fruit and spices and ends up nicely balanced. Peppery, but not over the top. — 9 years ago

Kapcsándy Family Winery

Endre State Lane Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2009

Awesome. I am in love. Candy Candy Candy. Jammy sweet and sticky on your palate. It's almost gone but I am looking all over. The sweet tooth begs for more. — 9 years ago

Big, jammy, inky, tooth-staining P Syrah! Perfect with Korean BBQ ribs. — 10 years ago

Honey Badger

Sweet Red Syrah Blend

Sweet enough to please my wine sweet tooth but interesting enough for me to want it again! Similar to a (cheap) lambrusco I had earlier this month, just without the bubbles. Great affordable option! — 9 years ago

Bodegas y Viñedos Vega Sicilia

Unico Ribera del Duero Tempranillo Blend 1998

One of my favorite wine at its best !! I could have kept this baby for a long time but wanted to try it. Flavors that define Vega Sicilia! Meats, dark fruit, nail, wood. All perfectly balanced to be enjoyed at the nose, mouth and after taste for a full journey!! — 9 years ago

Cenay

Blue Tooth Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Good body, light on tannins, taste as good on day two — 9 years ago

Michel Gahier

La Fauquette Arbois Chardonnay 2009

Matté
9.5

This has an amazing nose that is a strange mix of rather sharp furniture polish and the taste that you get when mixing up a couple of different flavour opal fruits (star bursts to you youts) incredibly pronounced, sharp tropical fruits (and nail polish), skittles and strawberry concentrate.
Palate is less expressive but has some wonderful green apple skin, quince, good length, very lovely stuff.

Château Lanessan

Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

Dark fruit balanced through old oak showing light spice on the nose encouraging thought to nail a specific note but is remaining a bit of an enigma in my rock rattled head after a good day enhanced by 75 MPH Harley induced wind and the brilliance of Bose and an iPhone. Ok, back to the wine, it touches, lightly grabs spreading its dark berry mini-burst in a layered earth touched tannin slow ride making magic with some of Chapel Hill's Bin 54's straight up amazing goodness (in this case very rare filet mignon, garlic tinged green beans and almond slivers; my go to steak spot in NC). Damn, this is all so right-on! Cheers! — 9 years ago

Rutini Wines

Merlot 2008

So, first wine rating since being hospitalized... This has been a favorite for a while. It is a little long in the tooth now, but still a nice aroma of blueberry compote. Still delicious, just a bit different. — 9 years ago

Frog's Tooth

Calaveras County Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

The perennial favorite from FTV. Smooth, slightly earthy, great balance. Love it. — 9 years ago

Domaine Léon Barral

Faugères Carignan Blend 2011

Dark burgundy in color, smell of nail polish, blue berry, raisin, preserved cabbage, date, dried fig, round tannin and long finish. Full body. — 9 years ago
