Sweet enough to please my wine sweet tooth but interesting enough for me to want it again! Similar to a (cheap) lambrusco I had earlier this month, just without the bubbles. Great affordable option! — 10 years ago
One of my favorite wine at its best !! I could have kept this baby for a long time but wanted to try it. Flavors that define Vega Sicilia! Meats, dark fruit, nail, wood. All perfectly balanced to be enjoyed at the nose, mouth and after taste for a full journey!! — 10 years ago
Fresh fruit, nice balance. — 10 years ago
Feelin the sweet tooth! — 10 years ago
Gerry Rowland, the winemaker etc. told me many years ago that this is his Bordeaux style Napa offering. I have always enjoyed and sold this wine. This vintage has blueberry and blackberry on the nose and a nice medium dry finish. Drinks well as soon as you open the bottle. Nice food wine that goes well with grilled meats. — 10 years ago
Very good red (enjoyed in Charlottesville, VA) — 11 years ago
One of my favorite Pinot towns. Masculin styled. Big cassis, rusty nail notes. — 11 years ago
A little long in the tooth. Decanter for 3 hours and just never got as big as I expected.. — 8 years ago
Was raisiny on the nose and I assumed it was oxidised. Surprisingly tasted much fresher with cedar, dark fruits, meaty and the controversial nail polish Wendouree is known for, with only a slight raisin flavour on the finish. My guess is this wasn't stored in the greatest of conditions. — 9 years ago
Complex wine, brings in plenty of fruit and spices and ends up nicely balanced. Peppery, but not over the top. — 10 years ago
Dark fruit balanced through old oak showing light spice on the nose encouraging thought to nail a specific note but is remaining a bit of an enigma in my rock rattled head after a good day enhanced by 75 MPH Harley induced wind and the brilliance of Bose and an iPhone. Ok, back to the wine, it touches, lightly grabs spreading its dark berry mini-burst in a layered earth touched tannin slow ride making magic with some of Chapel Hill's Bin 54's straight up amazing goodness (in this case very rare filet mignon, garlic tinged green beans and almond slivers; my go to steak spot in NC). Damn, this is all so right-on! Cheers! — 10 years ago
So, first wine rating since being hospitalized... This has been a favorite for a while. It is a little long in the tooth now, but still a nice aroma of blueberry compote. Still delicious, just a bit different. — 10 years ago
Fantastic Sangiovese. Out of this world. I ordered my first case ever. — 10 years ago
This has an amazing nose that is a strange mix of rather sharp furniture polish and the taste that you get when mixing up a couple of different flavour opal fruits (star bursts to you youts) incredibly pronounced, sharp tropical fruits (and nail polish), skittles and strawberry concentrate.
Palate is less expressive but has some wonderful green apple skin, quince, good length, very lovely stuff. — 11 years ago

Like the nose...berries, deep color, soft in mouth — 9 years ago
Frog's Tooth Malbec has always been really good. With their new wine maker on board the 2013 kicks it up a notch further. Really noteworthy. Owners told me it won "best Malbec in region" @ Calif State fair. Well deserved. — 9 years ago
Very expressive nose displaying mature and complex aromas of prunes, dry figs, peanuts, almonds, caramel, toffee, nail varnish remover and hints of vanilla. It is bone-dry in the mouth with a medium+ body and pronounced elegant and tasty flavours. The alcohol is well-integrated and the finish is very persistent. — 10 years ago
Awesome. I am in love. Candy Candy Candy. Jammy sweet and sticky on your palate. It's almost gone but I am looking all over. The sweet tooth begs for more. — 10 years ago
The perennial favorite from FTV. Smooth, slightly earthy, great balance. Love it. — 10 years ago
Dark burgundy in color, smell of nail polish, blue berry, raisin, preserved cabbage, date, dried fig, round tannin and long finish. Full body. — 10 years ago
Big, fruit forward Cab. Highly recommend. — 10 years ago
