Plum finishing to tart raspberry without being acidic. Good tannins, neither juicy nor peppery
Delicious but limited depth

Light ruby color. Aromas of bing cherries, pink peppercorns, and bubblegum,
On the palate, light body, fruity with that same bubblegum characteristic. Bright acidity and med light tannin. Juicy and vibrant. Fun wine. 9.0 — 7 years ago

Had the 2014. Minerals, salty and white pepper overtones. An interesting wine. — 7 years ago
Dark blueberry flavors and aromas with chocolate, leather and graphite notes. Hints of vanilla and oak. Wonderfully balanced and smooth. Proof that a fine wine gets better with time. — 7 years ago
Extremely strong wine and it tastes too much like port wine, but it's worth getting wasted 👍🏻 — 8 years ago
Needs to open up a minute... Unripe fruit on the front... Strong alcohol on the nose... Wet stone/rubber undertone... Slightly smoky on the finish — 9 years ago

The '11 Bodegas Barco de Piedra Tempranillo is proof that good wine doesn't have to be expensive. Bluish purple in color, this medium-bodied wine emits a bouquet of black fruits, cherries, licorice, pepper and leather. It's delightfully creamy, velvety and complex. Very impressive for the money. — 12 years ago
