excellent old world expression. 12% abv. very Spanish — 10 months ago
Another delightful year of their Meritage style blend. This year it’s made of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Lovely nose with complex fruit and spice flavors, mouth watering acidity, and smoothness throughout with just enough tannins for a pop and a pleasant lingering finish. — 5 years ago
14.4% abv. Lend of 2011 and 2012. 2011 Grenache (40%), 2012 Mourvèdre (44%), 2012 Cinsault(16%abv) Elegant, very nice tannin, layered. Delicious. — 2 months ago
Pretty good. Good fruit and balance with some acidity and not much tannin. — 5 months ago
Every year the pop and pour drinkability of this blend gets better! This year the blend is 60% Mourvedere 25% Grenache and 15% Syrah. My appreciation for the less common primary grape varietals has escalated by Monte de Oro’s wise blending and aging techniques. The nose is slightly shy. The palate is a pleasantly unique balanced combination of fruit and earthy components - with a touch of lingering spice. A near perfect balance of juicy acidity and soft tannins that makes this approachable for most. — 9 months ago
COVID year lockdown vintage. Much brighter and fruitier than earlier years. Can’t believe this is a 100% Merlot. Almost Zinfandel in density and slight rhubarb background notes. Lots of cinnamon and clove forming the structure behind dark cherries licorice and dark chocolate. The finish is long and surprisingly crisp. I like a wine that creates an adventure and although this is slightly sweeter than my usual - this is a fun adventure. — 4 months ago
Excellent pop and pour drinkability with bold and complex fruit and spice full bodied flavor. Enjoyed on a warm early spring evening on the patio. — 8 months ago
Better and more complex than prior years. Amber color. Floral notes. Juicy acidity and somewhat dry. Grapefruit and mineral dominant on opening but after 30 min balanced with pear, honeydew, grapefruit, and slightly Chardonnay-like buttery oak softness. — 2 years ago

Very good but didn’t blow me away like earlier vintages. Flavor profile and drinkability as a pop and pour wine are all there and worth the price - I’ve just grown to expect more from Synergy 65. — a month ago
