What a huge 2015 success. Lovely nose of big cherry, cassis, crushed stones and so much intense minerality. Floral as well with lavender and mashed violets. Intense and gorgeous. Palate is just a fruit bomb. Amazingly concentrated yet elegant as well with huge rich cherry fruit that is so sweet and gorgeously defined. Wonderful acidity and freshness. Lovely wine. Clear and bright with glimmering pale lemon colors and a fresh and crisp aroma of new basketballs and rubber hose like a good Riesling from Mosel along with honey and honeysuckle notes. Lively and good acidity on the palate it has a lot of expression and would go great with Asian or Indian cuisine. — 11 years ago

TASTING NOTES ( From the Winery)
Always our most opulent Chardonnay, Damiana has vivid fruit and buttressed by intense natural acidity. Power and grace. 

Orange zest, lemon/lime, hard butterscotch candy, soft creaminess to it. A splash of acid. Needs a 30/ 45 minute decanting. It’s still felt slightly short of what it will be!!

There’s no doubt this will taste better in a year. This is the current release. Will age nicely for another 8/10 years. — 9 years ago
