Domaine des Roches Neuves (Thierry Germain)

Clos de L'Échelier Dampierre Sur Loire Saumur Champigny Cabernet Franc 2019

Glorious. Delightfully floral, fruity, typical cab franc notes. Touches of cocoa, toasted almond, herbs, and a real soulful tartness. Truly a wine of balance, with all the complexity of the grape but also delicious now. This will evolve I’m sure but hard to beat how it is today. — 3 years ago

Irancy Pinot Noir

Wonderful, beautiful Pinot from the Chablis region. Drinks like a cooler region Pinot - fruity, light-med body, smooth, low-med tannins, nice acid. Could age a bit longer still. — 5 years ago

Selection Vieilles Vignes Supérieur Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

I don’t drink much Bordeaux, not sure why. Maybe the choices are a bit overwhelming for me 🤷‍♀️ this one is medium bodied, has smooth tannins, not much fruit. — 4 years ago

@Sharon B same..my first Bordeaux ( many years ago) tasted like Band-Aids gone really bad. I do have a Lynch Bages 2016 in waiting. BUT most people do not touch this wine for 20 yrs +. Not sure how well I will enjoy that at age 75!! As I contemplate my wine purchases over time...!
