We had this amazing Bordeaux at Triangle in Paris. Best! — 7 years ago
Fruity, interesting blend of viognier, rousanne, and Albariño. Creamy throughout. Nice acidic lemon-lime finish. Great with scallops. Surprisingly good! — 8 years ago
One of the most unique finos I've ever had. Intriguing nose that calls to mind intense white burgundy like Leflaive or PYCM.
Three En Rama bottling, each from one of the three towns in the Triangle. — 8 years ago
Not as magical as the 2011, yes I said 2011, but still an amazing effort from Bob and Nile. — 10 years ago
'09, the last year we had amazing grapes up here in the Emerald Triangle and this one proves it. Purchased in 2013 I had forgotten I had it. WOW!! Best I've ever had. Gio is simply amazing and continues to show he is, year after year. When back, and there it was! Couldn't believe the still had some...last bottle. Decisions, decisions. Gio is still outdoing himself. Amazing Olive Oil here too! A must if ever near "Dry Creek Valley" — 10 years ago

What a beautiful Bordeaux blanc this is. 'Balanced' is one if the best descriptors for this wine. It hits all 3 corners of the triangle of deliciousness. Floral, complex, and balance. Alto is also a great name for this wine, because the nose hits high, bright and round notes of lemon oil, fresh ginger, pineapple, vanilla cream, white flowers, and smoke/flint. The pallet has some bright juicy acidity, and a round, refreshing, and light mouth feel - lemon tart, candied ginger, tangerine, underripe grapefruit, and white pepper lingering on the pallet for an awesome finish. If you can get some still, buy it up. It's a must for the cellar diversity, and it was created to resemble the best of Sancerre wines. It shares a striking resemblance!

Great! This has put Chipiona on the dry sherry radar for me. Not just moscatels in this corner of the triangle. — 8 years ago

RIP to the late Zlatan who passed a month ago.
Zlatan Otok is one of my favourite wineries in Croatia. I appreciate every single one of the wines that I've tried but that said, this Zlatan Otok 2010 Crljenak is my absolute fave.
In 2001 a research, funded by Mike Grgich of Judgement of Paris fame, on the origin of Zinfandel came to fruition. It confirmed that Zinfandel and Primitivo came from Croatia. Unfortunately at the point of discovery, the vines of Crljenak in Croatia was near extinction. Today, only a handful of Croatian wineries still produce this wine. As far as I've tried, the Zlatan Otok 2010 Crljenak is the best representation of this variety.
Notes: Colour is dark garnet with some clarity. On the nose, I get cboth red and black fruit, white and black pepper, slightly perfumey like amber and musk. The palate reflects exactly what's on the nose, carried off by vibrant acidity and prominent minerality. Tannins are slightly coarse but sweet, which means it should be aged in the bottle for a while longer but ready to be enjoyed now. What I love most is how it opens up and expresses itself on the palate like a triangle--from narrow and shy to wide and lively. This Crljenak has lighter body than most Californian Zinfandel.
The final conclusion: Yes please! It's slightly cheaper than Lytton Springs, and I'm getting more pleasure from this. — 9 years ago
Crisp, wonderful, Kims favorite. $16 @ triangle — 10 years ago
The best Pinotage I have tasted. Beautifully balanced with cherry fruits and a hint of chocolate. Not sure it will get better but drinking really well 8 years in. — 11 years ago
Holy mother of… One of the best things about working Austria in the Triangle. — 11 years ago
This one man one wine show is an excellent small napa golden triangle producer. The 07 is refined yet powerful and complex with mixed berries, fig, mocha and cedar. A well balanced wine. Great — 12 years ago
