Thought I was getting the '13, but restaurant did the ol' vintage switcheroo. Still very good considering how disastrous 2014 was for Tuscan reds. The leather really stood out on this one plus some rustic tannins. Which worked just fine for a spicy penne in tiny Alpine village. Merlot dominant plus some other bdx varietals. Extremely smooth with sweet fruity flavor at the beginning, and vanilla in the body. Good lasting. I am having it at a restaurant right outside the Piazza Nanova In Roma facing the fountain and the Palazzo Madame, can't beat that. — 11 years ago
