Normally I'm absolutely no fan of Bordeaux but Ponte Canet did an amazing job in 2012. So much freshness, incredible. — 8 years ago
When drunk side by side with the 2001 Lafite Rothschild this seemed a little past due. The nose is incredible: cigar box, cedar and leather are predominant. The fruit is secondary but appeared more after a half hour. — 9 years ago
Brilliant and complex , caught at in a perfect spot, as this layered wine offers mature notes of dried flowers, leather and aged cigar box, but also incredible presence of red and dark fruits, framed by completely integrated oak spice and sweet, grainy tannins, all lengthened by juicy acidity. Brilliant! — 9 years ago
Finally getting caught up on stuff I had in France. This needed more time open than we could give it during lunch, but went down quickly nonetheless. Deep and meaty and bloody with a touch of floral lift. Fully resolved tannins and incredible length. — 10 years ago
The most absolutely mellow Cab I've ever had...accompanied by mild cheese this was incredible! — 10 years ago
Vert light and fruity.. Easy to drink — 11 years ago
Wow, incredible, and still holding up after all these years. Upon opening, basically no fruit, all secondary characteristics, especially on the nose. As it opened up, some dark cherry appeared and eventually the nose and palate came together. A sensory journey 48 Years in the making and a pleasure to partake. — 7 years ago
Took an hour to open up, after that it was incredible. — 8 years ago
Absolutely incredible. Still had fruit and life. Utterly delicious — 9 years ago
I was disappointed with my last Caymus Special Selection vintage, but this beauty brought me back to a bottle that won Wine Spectator's #1 Wine of the Year ... Twice!! Incredible fruit and balance. This can be cellared and enjoyed for years to come. Cheers!! — 10 years ago

Tasted at the end of the Taittinger cellar tour - incredible! The extended lees aging really comes through on the pallet, rich and a little buttery. Also sees 5% oak aging for two weeks — 8 years ago
Fantastic accompaniment for beef and lamb. Rich berries and earthy leather notes blend wth incredible structure. This is a wine to age another decade. — 8 years ago
Nose has definite hint of grape medicine. Something that kinda throws me off, has a kind of artificial grape smell. It changes a ton as it is spending time in the glass. Opening up to some flowery fig stuff. Amazing how it opens up. Update after being open a day: incredible change across the board - nose is now lavender honey and a hint of toast, and the honey carries through on the tongue. It exhibits some prune characteristics. — 8 years ago
Stunning...not great wines, but great bottles. We had a winner! An incredible olfactory experience...at the beginning currants, cigar, mint...then iron and cherry. In the top 3 BDX I've ever tasted. Tasted alongside 96 Giacosa, 85 Krug, 98 Latour a Pomerol, 95 Smith Haut Lafitte — 9 years ago
Fantastic wine. Incredible dark fruit and concentration. A little rough around the edges but the fruit balances that out. Needs time. — 10 years ago
Got to try the '95 and '98 side by side. Incredible tasting. — 10 years ago
#113001. Incredible elegance and precision, but the brioche and mineral combination dominates in a way that off-putting. Not enough balancing fruit. MV. — 10 years ago
Gobindjit S. Dhaliwal

Elegant and extremely perfumed, a nice juicy red fruit core featuring ripe cherries, raspberries, and strawberries, followed by dried lavender, meaty beef jus, orange peel, undergrowth, sweet tobacco, charcoal, and intense black pepper. Delicious sweet red fruit flavors on entry with some dried apricots that lead to a umami rich midpalate filled with meaty notes, iron, and a slightly saline minerality that intermingles with intense peppery notes that linger for some time. Incredible silky mouth feel on this midbodied red, very light in structure but intense in flavors. — 7 years ago
