1975. Amazing Sauternes. Like living in a bee hive full of honey. — 9 years ago
Large complex nose of red citrus, bee-hive, bees-wax, and white flowers; mouth-filling mousse with everything from the nose plus high acids and a long nuthoney finish. This 14 yr-old wine has likely reached its peak as another bottle from same case was a bit over the hill. — 10 years ago
Agree with the pack
Had the 9.1 number in my head before I saw the hive rating

Smooth and balanced with a hint of spice. One of my favorite wines at The Hive. — 9 years ago
Super fresh. Canned 24 hours ago. Massive fresh hoppy nose. Sticky, resiny hops flavor with a slight hint of the honey that cuts the bitterness perfectly. — 10 years ago
More petrol than a BP station. More beeswax than a hive. — 10 years ago
Huge! Like a punch to the face of complexity. It's like this scotch was aged in a bee hive. — 11 years ago
First, I have to comment on the packaging. Simple and elegant, with a simple waxed top which makes for a beautiful bottle. The wine itself is lovely and exemplifies the precision to be found in the 2014 vintage of Oregon Chardonnay. A hint of reduction on the nose, with fresh lemon curd, baby's breath, and green corn husk filling it out. Bright with bracing citrus upon entry, giving way green apples and pears, and finishing with peppery notes. The oak and vanilla show a bit on the mid to back palate, but mellows a bit after a while. Be great to check on in a few years. — 9 years ago
@Jordan Mackay you were correct, sir. A unicorn wine. SO glad I opened to share with friends. @Rajat Parr @Julia Weinberg need your/@delectable's wine hive-mind to get more of the story of this gorgeous Napa red blend. Jammy, smoky, licorice, & dried cherry. — 9 years ago
