Amazing wine/ drank 2006 reserve- this wine can age longer I believe. Overall a very unique wine with tons of character- the tamisco grape is unique to the coastal region of Portugal - one of the old heirloom vines- and because I like thin mineral reds this is my dream come true for sipping wine! If you have a chance of getting this wine- Buy it by the case and hold on to it - very unique and should be more recognized for the hen that it is. — 8 years ago
I'm so in love with White Rose. Paired with smoked Cornish game hen and wild mushroom risotto — 9 years ago

Quite perfect with Guinea Hen with Endives in creme fraiche...the bacon in the dish was ideal in drawing the gamy Syrah out and softening it's edges. — 10 years ago
Bottle said Red Table Wine, not sure if the Delectable is correct. Nice warm red, wonderful flavor and nice smooth finish — 10 years ago

Beautiful crispy light notes with earthy undertones. Would suit seafood, light meats, or hen do taxi rides. Enjoy! — 11 years ago
Dry currant on the front palate light tat mid transitioning to fruit in the back. Funky, stellar with duck and hen. Transitions into mature cheeses wonderfully. — 12 years ago

2013. 11.5 ABV! The Hen. Talk about a light OR Pinot - this is the poster child! Tart, bright cherries, with a hint of strawberries and smoke. On the sweeter side, and even a tendency towards vinegar - still, loved it, and this style. Easy drinking. 9.1. — 8 years ago
Citrus, crushed shells, oily, chalky nose. Just the smell is worth the price of admission. Initially citrus, hen immediately almonds and oil, and a lingering shells and mineral finish. Love Roulot. — 9 years ago
Paired with some risotto/hen-of-the-woods = happy place.... With the short rib at Basta = foodie bliss — 10 years ago

Rich and delicious- classic Cali Chardonnay. Drink with roasted game hen. — 10 years ago
What a beautiful wine. The bouquet was lovely. The acidity developed from strong to subtle, then followed by a perfect balance. The finish extended for what seemed to be eons. Paired marvelously with roasted guinea hen and chicken, it was such a treat. — 11 years ago

Dense dark garnet and ruby. Aromas of cherry infused cotton candy, dark plum, and slight gamy hen aromas. Incredibly beautiful lush fruit with great influence from oak barrell. Vanilla notes and smokiness adorn the bountiful fruit. A ladies wine with great finness and seductive fruit. Great balance between fruit and stricture. Medium to long finish. 92 pts. — 11 years ago
Old Crafty Hen vintage aged English ale! — 11 years ago
Massive. Basically the Macalllan 12 of chardonay; it might as well have been aged in sherry casks. Liquid apple cobbler/piñappple upside down cake. impressive in its own context. — 12 years ago
Stainless steel fermentation followed by sur lie yields a very nice chardonnay. — 8 years ago
Couldn't decide whether I like it. It's quite sweet when chilled but when warmer became quite cognacish. Smooth and very full bodied. Went beautifully with the Cornish hen — 8 years ago
Fat hen spicy garganega very interesting — 8 years ago
Paired with Cornish Hen and generously topped with white truffle. — 9 years ago
Cranberry, currant, blackberry and pepper cooked into venison shoulder. Hen-of-the-woods cooked into its oaken companion! Plenty of oak bark and licorice here. Smoky blackberry and rich earth round out the variegated smells. This is almost Cornas!
Eggshell, cypress wood, grainy tannins and boysenberry to the front lines armed with thorny green weapons which melt into mouth-coating black poppyseed. There is coffee rye and black currant encased in walnut that becomes ensconced, nailed to your tongue with leaden resolve. — 10 years ago
Went great with the Cornish hen I ate. — 11 years ago
Had at Osteria Mozza with quail hen. Paired perfectly. This is how food was meant to be paired with wine. — 11 years ago
Incredible blend shared with close friends on my last visit to Red Hen, with all that Italian wines are so good at, without any of the tannicness or bitter end note so common in super earthy wines. A solid 10. — 11 years ago
Chile wine @ Red Hen. CO2 in bottle so needs to breath. But delicious. — 11 years ago
Meget tæt, stærk og frugtig primitivo med 17pc alkohol. Rigtig nyde vin, lidt hen ad ung portvin. — 12 years ago
