Gordons Čhanin tasting 6/13/17. $43. #1. Nose of white flowers and tropical fruits with mineral notes. Palate that's textured and with tension mouth feel and weight. Long finish with acids and minerals. Saline type minerals. Full melo unfiltered. Sulfur minimal and only after melo. Richest wine in lineup. Best nose of the group. Though not quite as full of tension. — 8 years ago
On a trip to CA, tried 10 AuBonClimat wines. Jim Clendenen, owner of ABC in 2000, created his own label to explore making unique wines from his Le Bon Climat vineyard, later expanded the project to include fruit from other historic Santa Barbara County sites. Jim named this wine "The Pip" in homage to his Border Collie, former winery mascot. Aromas of stone and tropical fruits. Apple and pear flavors with lemon zest and a touch of vanilla oak. Well balanced and Crisp on the finish ending with mineral tones. — 9 years ago
Best Rhone blend in years. Have been getting these from the mailing list, finally had the right group to try with! Gerry, Kurt, myself and our better halves! Rich, full bodied with great extracted fruit! A mouthful that I will not forget. I say a solid 97 in my experience. CB Tried this Past Sunday!!!! — 9 years ago
Subtle aromas, lemons and pears!!! Smooth finish. Great gift or if you want to sit back with a group of friends and this bottle you can't go wrong. — 10 years ago
Paso Wine #1. Didn’t intend last week to become Paso Week, but opened this bottle after buying tickets for the Hospice du Rhone event in Paso in April. Youngest, darkest of the three. Highly concentrated and prob with the most potential of the group, but not giving up much at the moment. Needs more time and more air. Hid its 16% ABV pretty well, so don’t let it sneak up on you. — 8 years ago
Beautiful deep purple Petite Verdot! Initial nose is jammy but the flavor is tangy with dominant cherry and berry notes. Yummy!! — 9 years ago
11/2/15 Midway Monday night football . Very bright and fruity, would be a great wine to share with a girl. — 10 years ago
Refrigerator red. — 10 years ago
Savory aromas of dark cherry and white pepper lead to bright flavors of pomegranate and truffles. Higher acid style with medium heavy tannins. Group thought it was an more refined Barolo - so kudos to the winemaking crew. Drink over the next 10-12 years (2025-2027) — 10 years ago

Crispy tang with enough complexity that it makes you feel like you’re getting away with something. Sounds like a Japanese pop group. — 6 years ago
A group of guys decided to meet up at our Wine Storage facility and bust out some unique bottles! Scores and notes to follow!
This pushed for WOTN. Alban has been a source for SQN among other big Napa Valley names. Best Syrah I've had to date HANDS DOWN. Goodness. This wine epitomized harmonious. Blue and blackberries, cedar, bacon, BBQ pit grease. Phenomenal. Thanks Joe! — 8 years ago
A nice light bodied, easy drinking red blend, low acidity, peppery at first with a long finish of blackberry jam. — 9 years ago

Starts off a bit hot, but burns off quickly. Medium plus bodied with finesse. Pleasant acidity and restrained tannins. Subtle hints of terroir. — 10 years ago

All I can say is wow! This is a beautiful wine. It is integrated in complex and rewarding ways and a real revelation on the still latent stratospheric possibilities of Paso. I am certain that I will not be able to properly describe the magic here. This project of Justin Smith (Saxum), Philippe Cambie and Sasha Verhage is something very special. The flavors build and last forever. I found myself not wanting it to end. Grab this if you can get your hands on it. Simply spectacular. — 5 years ago
