Margaret River Teroldego 2012

Very much enjoying everything I’ve tried from this producer. Great wines for the money. This one is stupendously easy to drink and a delicious whack of dark fruit with just enough grip and subtle spice to keep thins interesting. Never tried this varietal before, but would certainly drink again. — 5 years ago

Masetto Nero Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT Teroldego

Vintage 2016. The color is bright and ruby. The nose is red fruit and minerals. The mouth keeps the same sensation the confy increases, but well-rounded. The aftre taste is short, which is a pity. — 5 years ago

Rotaliano Teroldego 2016

Concentrated cherry on the nose. The palate matches with added black pepper and a touch of earth, plus some chewy tannins. Perfect with veal loin in an asparagus sauce and/or beef cheek with mashed potatoes at Al Volt in Riva del Garda, Italy. — 6 years ago

Wolff Vineyards

Teroldego 2014

From the winery:
“Our Estate produced Teroldego is a rarely grown grape in the U.S. originating from the Northern Italian Tyrolean area of Trentino-Alto Adige. This big and rich inky dark red wine is lively, exhibits fruity intriguing flavors of dark berry, aromatic wood spice with a finish of structured tannins and bright acidity. Vinified and fermented in techniques similar to our Syrah this Teroldego is aged in 25% new American oak. The alcohol content is 14.2%. “ $36.00 I tasted the 2014 and it was a big & rich wine, excellent after cellaring 7 years.

Weight of the Moment Teroldego 2016

One of the last bottlings from their Long Island vineyards before moving to Tejas and a completely different vibe than their warmer climate offerings. Plums, raspberries, with some subtle notes of anise and figs. I love Southold! — 5 years ago
