Many thanks to the folks at Brushland Eating House for having this on their menu! Crisp, refreshing, and savory with beautiful nose& really interesting flavor profile: grapefruit, melon, and perfect amount of salinity. Probably one of best wines I’ve tasted. — 6 years ago

Swick Wines

Les Sous-Bois Underwood Columbia Gorge Pinot Noir 2014

Wonderful clarity for unfiltered wine; ripe, dark fruit, forest floor, and very subtle savory/soy. No noticeable new oak, any used? Beautiful balance between ripeness, alcohol, acidity, and tannin. — 9 years ago

9.0

Sooper-dooper natural wine, unfined, unfiltered, and downright chunky. Smells like a Negroni in the best way, tastes a little brighter with red fruit and lots of spice. Temperature is key, a touch warmer than cellar seems to do the trick. — 9 years ago

Gris Foncé Crooked Acres Vineyard Pinot Gris 2014

Bold maneuver by Joe Swick of co-fermenting Pinot Gris & Noir results in a pleasurable puzzle of a wine, like listening to Ornette Coleman get rid of chord changes, this wines interacts w perceptions at a radical pace. The Pinot Gris actually supplies more tannic chew that buzzes on the palate while the Noir presents a folk melody structure to wrap your mind around. The collision is rather haunting, and I can't wait to understand how it goes with food in surprising ways. I'm gonna glass this sucker at Americano! — 9 years ago

Sauvignon

A new age, West Coast interpretation of an old world grape. This one has had 24 hours of skin contact, so it’s almost an orange wine... And it’s had very little futzing in the barrel, so almost a natural. Apricot, pear, honey and dank minerality. — 6 years ago
