Quite deep ruby centre with quite thin garnet rim . Pretty young looking appearance . On the nose there are some cassis , raspberry , with touches of vanilla, dry spices , cedar and mint. On the palate some sweet cassis , raspberry , cherry , grafite , ground coffee, with the vanilla and spice notes of the nose . Balanced acidity with slightly drying tannins. Ok length with a tobacco and coffee tinged finish. Needed a little time to come together and food certainly helped also . This is probably at peak now so I would drink from now over the next 5 -8 years or so . — 4 months ago

This bottle was opened and stoppered for two days and the age really brought this wine into its own!! See my previous tasting notes. — 9 years ago

Cheap and cheerful Italian red from Trader Joes. A blend that's primarily Sangiovese, it's pretty subtle and doesn't leave that powerful red tang on the finish. Slightly dry, certainly not complex, but quaffable. — 11 years ago
Beautiful wine. No more than medium bodied. The pure deep fruit is melded with fine and perfectly integrated tannins creating a super juicy, fresh mouthfeel. The balance and length put this a step above. Wouldn’t be confused with a left bank Bordeaux, but the juiciness and energy of this wine make it a beautiful drink. Drinking amazingly , but absolutely no rush. — 4 months ago
Deep purple color.
Aromas of cassis, blueberry compote, hint of vanilla.
Dry. Flavors of blueberry, blackberry, peppercorn, floral, minty finish. Medium-rich, chewy tannins.

I will start with how perfectly it’s matching with my meal of broccoli rabe with sausage. I’m. Fan of Sangiovese blends and this will please many. Medium bodied, lovely balance of berry and herbs/spices. flavors. Beautiful Ruby color — 7 months ago
An interesting Tuscan Merlot, only produced in outstanding years, deep Ruby with aromas of black berry fruits, sweet spice and herb spice. On the palate flavors of blueberry and sweet cherry with vanilla, sweet tobacco and smoky oak. Fine elegant tannins, long finish ending with fruit and mineral character. Very nice!! — 3 years ago

Some specials on today at the Chelsea lounge at JFK. Thought I’d ask and look what we got. It doesn’t have as much of the typical Dom taste for me and it is still very very young, definitely still a baby. Great nose and packs a lot of citrusy flavors - they will certainly mellow over the years. Not a bad rendition, not quite hitting the super high marks with me right now, but very pleasant early p.m. bubbly on this holiday — 3 months ago
