Initial nose of earth and strawberries. Rhubarb, plum, toasted oak on the palate and bright bing cherry on the finish. Still my favorite vineyard and vintage from this producer. — 8 years ago

Stone Tree Vineyard Zinfandel

Damn, this 2014 vintage is now my favorite WA state Zin, period! Yes, it's hot (16.9%), but Zin is usually hot. This is packed with big, jammy black fruit that eases into sweet leather and peppery notes. This is freaking great!! — 9 years ago

55% Slope Impassable Mountain Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

This is everything I expected and more. Worth every dollar.
Dark and lush black current, intense dark chocolate, fine tannins and smooth finish. Paired fantastic with grilled t bones and a Gorgonzola and pear salad.

Walter Hansel Winery

The North Slope Vineyard Chardonnay 2012

Cahill earns her place on the rich end Of the spectrum and the 2012 vintage shows that character especially well. Ripe orchard fruits. Apricots. Cultured butter. Brioche. Abv is warm but the style supports it. — 10 years ago
