Cranberry, rhubarb, forest floor. Aging well — 4 years ago
Cherry, strawberry, cream, raspberry, lemon and stone fruit. Great acidity and balance. — 5 years ago
This is very drinkable wine. Solid at room temperature or great slightly chilled. It almost smells like date or fig with a tough of earth and something tart. The pallet is thinner with good acidity and a touch of effervescent. Initially, upon opening, there was a bit of pomegranate, which still lingers a bit after a day. There’s also a dried strawberry and a bit of dry earth. Good with salmon or chicken. — 7 years ago
Nose of tart cherry, wet wood, and hint of strawberry. Great balance on the palate with some acidity and light tannins. Finish lingers nicely with some noticeable smokiness. Failla's single vineyard pinots are even stronger, but this is great value! — 10 years ago
Ok what we have here is the 2011 which I found cleaning out my cellar so I decided to try a flight for thanksgiving. 11 to 13. From the color these wines are indistinguishable. On the nose they all have the same herbal notes. The 11 has thyme and raspberry it's now very elegant and will be awesome with the meal. These wines however taste unique and are not for everyone. Very style consistent through the vintages. The 12 has more strawberry notes and has a bigger mouth feel. The 13 has cherry notes or Kirsch it is my favorite and the best in my book. The rating is for the 2011. I would NOT recommend to age these wines. Drink NOW. Change! 11 now open for 7 days no oxidation better now! I adjusted the rating up. — 11 years ago

📝 I say Musar is always better with 15-25 years age but this 8 year baby is quite gluggable

A rose with body! A touch of strawberry, but not overly sweet. Really a perfect BBQ rose! — 10 years ago
My guest was celebrating her birthday, she wanted something sweet pink and bubbly. Boom first thing that came up vueve. Sold it for $160 my guest loved it.
The wine has a luminous color with radiant rose accents. The nose is elegant and generous, with initial aromas of fresh red fruit (raspberry, wild strawberry, cherry)

One of my favorite rosés! Red papaya, watermelon, strawberry, rose water Turkish delight, pink flowers, crushed rocks. Great acidity and long finish. — 11 years ago
Amazing depth at a great price. Spice, dried strawberry, cured beef, perfume, wet earth, and orange peel. Smooth tannin profile, and refreshing punch of acidity. — 11 years ago
I tend to be rather picky about rosé, but I always love those from the Tavel area. This one is consistently satisfying. Glorious salmon-pink color and fresh, juicy flavors of strawberry and watermelon. Great with our Niçoise salad! 60% Grenache, 13% Clairette, 13% Syrah, 10% Cinsault, 3% Mourvèdre, 1% Bourboulenc. 5/15/22. — 4 years ago

Tasted blind. Reddish tawny color. Edges suggest its old. Notes of strawberry, raspberry, iron, roses. Some zing and power in the nose. Slaps your face when tasted. Sappy. Powerful impact. Long finish. Other guesses were in Burgundy land eg Griotte but I went with 90 Rayas. Bingo. — 6 years ago
I’ve had a a fair amount of older Williams Selyem Pinot Noirs, this one is the most different. It seems more extracted and darker than the bright; cherries, strawberries & pomegranate Pinots from them that we’ve had a run on over several years.
The noses reveals, deep, dark, ripe; currants, blackberries, black cherries with liqueur notes, baked black plum, black raspberries with hints of blue fruit. Touch of smokiness, cinnamon, clove, vanillin, black licorice, mid intensity, sweet tarriness, herbaceous notes, mint/eucalyptus character, touch of tree sap, black, rich earth, steeped fruit tea, limestone, dry rock powder, dark chocolate bar, mocha notes with fresh, withering & dry, dark, red florals and just a hint of violets.
The body is medium full. It has gorgeous mouthfeel. There are still round, softened, teethe & tarry tannins here. Tannins were in the bottle neck which, is not always traditional even in older Pinot’s. The structure, tension, length and balance are really nice with another three to five years of good drinking ahead. It’s right around its peak. Perhaps, just the other side of the bell curve. Dark, ripe; currants/cassis, blackberries, black cherries with liqueur notes, baked black plum, black raspberries, cooked rhubarb, raisins with more blue fruit showing vs. the nose. Touch of smokiness, cinnamon, clove, light nutmeg, vanillin, black licorice, mid intensity sweet tarriness, herbaceous notes, mint/eucalyptus character, touch of tree sap, black, rich earth, steeped fruit tea, limestone, dry rock powder, dark chocolate bar, mocha notes with fresh, withering & dry, dark, red florals and violets beaming on the finish. The acidity is excellent. The long finish is; ruby, ripe, elegant, gorgeous, extremely well balanced and persists on the palate with warm, dark spice.
IMHO, Williams Selyem Pinot Noirs do not score well early and really shine at 10 years plus in many vintages. They are a Sonoma Pinot pioneer and a gold standard comparison for other producers and Pinot lovers to take note.

The 2021 Rosé Ode to Lulu shows mineral-tinged aromas of red berries, nectarine and citrus zest complemented by herb notes. Silky and energetic on the palate, offering white peach, strawberry and tangerine flavors with delineation and tension. A floral note lingers on the finish. $24.00 (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, August 2022) — 4 years ago
