Delicious and Smooth — 4 years ago
On this Sunday night the start of a new work week I have opened the 2019 Domaine de Triennes Rosé. This wine comes from Nans-les-Pins, France located between Marseilles and Toulon North of Bandol. This is a blend of mainly Cinsault with smaller amounts of Grenache, Syrah and Merlot.
On the nose I am getting red rasberry, cherry, tangerine, pomegranate, red currant, musky melon snd floral notes.
On the palate there is raspberry, tart cherry, strawberry, nectarine, a spiciness and good minerality.
This wine is pale pink onion skin in color, light to medium bodied with medium + acidity tuat moves into a long crisp fresh citrus finish. We are looking at a new week ahead and I wish everyone a safe and healthy prosperous week. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 5 years ago
It's sunny and just over 30°F today, so fire in the chimnea time! First flames of 2019.
One of our favorite new (2009) AOC's in France, this is 80% Gamay & 20% Poulsard, but the epitome of 100% sparkling strawberry juice! So GD delicious!
One thing to note, last bottle is always the best, we're out of stock now, but don't hold these too long. We've seen bottle variation, likely best to track lot codes on the bottles and make sure your buying a newer version than the last, since we're talking about an NV product. — 6 years ago
Really awesome (bold and crisp) and a good price point — 7 years ago
Brambly red berry fruits. High acid and untamed, a wild expression of #pinotnoir #nzwine — 9 years ago
Nose of tart cherry, wet wood, and hint of strawberry. Great balance on the palate with some acidity and light tannins. Finish lingers nicely with some noticeable smokiness. Failla's single vineyard pinots are even stronger, but this is great value! — 10 years ago
Strong strawberry aroma with a light citrus flavor. — 11 years ago
2019 | Pinot Noir
Enderle & Moll; Liaison
Rhine Valley; Baden, Germany
(92-93; drink 2024-29, 2H decant)
Paired to duck confit & green lentils, a favorite meal for cats and humans in our humble abode.
After a mere ~13 month wait after receiving into the cellar, we're finally pulling a cork today. This really wants another year to unfurl for my palate. All the hallmarks of this wine are here; ripe black cherry, tree moss, dehydrated strawberry, damp cedar, past season rose, orange zest, slight VA but unobtrusive, medium finish, dried cranberry.
A very special/unique vintage for Liaison based on this commentary from the winemakers:
"Unfortunately, we had quite heavy frost in some of our best red sandstone vineyards last year and additional problems with hail and high fungus pressure, which is the reason why we ultimately decided to only bottle our "Basis", the "Liaison" and our "Muschelkalk" (shell limestone) this year. The barrels from the other top vineyards ended up in our "Liaison", which is ultimately reflected in the quality of this years "Liaison"..."
With the best of luck, this situation will not be repeated; so 2019 drink happily knowing it's a blend of the best grapes. — 2 years ago
Nice and dry and mineral with bright acids. Underripe strawberry, grapefruit zest, touch of melon and white peach. From Perry’s, Provincetown. 07/05/21 — 4 years ago
This is very drinkable wine. Solid at room temperature or great slightly chilled. It almost smells like date or fig with a tough of earth and something tart. The pallet is thinner with good acidity and a touch of effervescent. Initially, upon opening, there was a bit of pomegranate, which still lingers a bit after a day. There’s also a dried strawberry and a bit of dry earth. Good with salmon or chicken. — 6 years ago
Basque region. Light, spritzy and low alcohol. Think bone dry strawberry-lime soda with an alkaseltzer thrown in. — 6 years ago
Complete balance. Not too sweet, not too dry, not too acidic. Slightly floral in the nose, hints of underripe strawberry on the tongue. Absolutely beautiful. — 7 years ago
A rose with body! A touch of strawberry, but not overly sweet. Really a perfect BBQ rose! — 9 years ago
Really great Rose, fresh and crisp easy drinking. Has good acidity, nice strawberry notes with a hint of cinnamon — 3 years ago
I tend to be rather picky about rosé, but I always love those from the Tavel area. This one is consistently satisfying. Glorious salmon-pink color and fresh, juicy flavors of strawberry and watermelon. Great with our Niçoise salad! 60% Grenache, 13% Clairette, 13% Syrah, 10% Cinsault, 3% Mourvèdre, 1% Bourboulenc. 5/15/22. — 3 years ago
Tasted blind. Reddish tawny color. Edges suggest its old. Notes of strawberry, raspberry, iron, roses. Some zing and power in the nose. Slaps your face when tasted. Sappy. Powerful impact. Long finish. Other guesses were in Burgundy land eg Griotte but I went with 90 Rayas. Bingo. — 6 years ago

Subtly spicy. Warm and welcoming. Still haven’t met an Argentinian Malbec I didn’t like. — 7 years ago
Low alcohol content and decent tannins make this wine easy drinking. And not bad for a prelude to something more serious down the road. — 8 years ago
Dry rose-- refreshing! — 9 years ago
My guest was celebrating her birthday, she wanted something sweet pink and bubbly. Boom first thing that came up vueve. Sold it for $160 my guest loved it.
The wine has a luminous color with radiant rose accents. The nose is elegant and generous, with initial aromas of fresh red fruit (raspberry, wild strawberry, cherry)

We opened this beautiful Cava, the 2020 Ravantós i Blanc Conca del Riu Anoia Extra Brut Cava Rose. From Catalonia Sant Sadurni D'Anoia, Spain. A blend of 44% Xarel-lo, 39% Macabeo, 12% Parellada and 5% Monastrell.
On the nose is strawberry, lemon, white peach, lime peel, almond and a bit of minerality.
On the palate there is strawberry, citrus, lemon, lime peel, tarragon, hazelnut, yellow apple and minerality.
This wine is medium bodied with an onion skin color with a bone dry mouthfeel medium + to high acidity that leaves us with a long fresh citrus wet rock finish. At $23 you can't go wrong. This will hang with the best sparkling wines. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend please stay safe and healthy heading into this week ahead. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — 2 years ago
