A very nice Bordeaux blend from Steve Reynolds. Excellent notes of rose petals, cinnamon and earthiness. On the palate I pick up dark and red fruit, spice and rosemary. Very smooth tannins wrapped around a hint of acidity that makes for a very nice mouthfeel and finish. One of our favorite wineries in Napa. @ — 9 years ago

Perfect sunny day lunch wine. Not too fruity, balanced — 11 years ago
One of the best Pinot Noir's I've had. Exceptional rendition of the fruit that comes from Sta. Rita Hills. Great cohesion, powerful yet elegant. Whiffs of wild strawberry coupled with boysenberry. Defined flavors of spice, loamy earth and the return of the berries. Ends with slight spice and roses. Great balance of acidity and tannins. Marvelous wine. — 9 years ago

Wow. Absolutely terrific offering from Brewer-Clifton. At 11 years, this has an incredible nose of spiced rhubarb, dried strawberries, and a sagebrush undertone that adds terrific complexity. Has the classic spice one picks up from the Melville Verna's pinot, but is much more subdued and integrated into the wine, adding to its complexity. Wonderfully balanced, this wine probably has several more years of life left but is drinking beautifully right now. Probably the best Brewer-Clifton I've had. — 9 years ago
