Very pretty and hightoned. Delicate red berry fruit, sweet cherry, red and purple florals, baking spice, some herbal green stem, and a touch of bretty funk. Soft acid and tannins. The palate has nice fruit but is ultimately a bit simple. Tasty none the less and quite nice with a manchego and sopresata grilled cheese. — 8 years ago
Hallmark dugat nose of must and stem. Overall very solid — 9 years ago
This has to be one of the most exciting and inventive producers in Oregon! Went through a flight in the tasing room and the things theyre doing with stem use, oak experiments, pump over technique and terroir exploration is like mozart meets dr frankenstein. The wines are flawless and unforgettable. This one is pretty on the nose. Floral and woodsy like potpurri with dried citrus, red currant and soft raspberry. Whole cluster gives it weight and depth while the perfectly balanced acid keeps it lively delicate and light on its feet. Not to be missed. — 10 years ago
Big and bold on the nose with oodles of sweet cherries, kirsch, blackberries, violets, smokey notes, Asian spices, and a hidden green stem like influence. A mid bodied pinot with layers of flavors, sweet cherries and blackberries one entry with a sappy midpalate with hints of orange peel, and roasted meats that linger into the long lasting finish filled with velvety tannins, ferrous minerality, complex smokey notes and sweet spices. Very rich, ripe, the elegance is quite staggering along with the balance, amazing spicy notes and textures. — 11 years ago
Great stem interaction beautifully balanced with red fruit. — 12 years ago
Very subtle bubbles! Floral and just a tiny bit of sweetness. Perfect for this #Thanksgiving #dinner. Way to go #MI ! — 12 years ago
Carbonic! Smells like the green skin of a stem after you snap it. Earthy, light fruit. — 14 years ago
2005 Alban "Pandora" Edna Valley Rhône Blend, 15.9% alcohol. 92% Grenache, 8% Syrah. “Curious? Open it up...” note on the back label. Pandora always one of my favorite Alban offering. Medium/dark ruby red in the stem with an explosive nose of cherries, berries, spices and tea leaves with just a hint of lilac/lavender/flowery background notes. Sweet marinated bing cherry palate with fresh cracked pepper and stewed currants and that telltale Alban tar. Creamy mouthfeel. Full bodied but not heavy or overbearing. Smooth tannins. Long, satisfying finish. Supposedly outside the drinking window, but I wouldn’t be in any hurry to open one. Quite a few years left in the tank. Appreciate the dedication on the bottle John. Big fan! — 8 years ago

Earth and stem! — 13 years ago
Translucent purple with aromas of plum, lavender, and mint as well as herbal notes from stem inclusion. Flavorful but weightless with only 12% alcohol. Lovely now and unencumbered by excessive ripeness, extraction, or oak influence but will certainly improve as tannin and stem elements integrate. — 8 years ago
Really love this P-F, it has it all... Crisp acidity, minerality, well integrated stem/seed notes and med-long finish. I'd love to see how our 6-pack will age over the coming years, but we're halfway through and it hasn't even been in the basement for a year yet, it's so damn tasty! — 9 years ago
Very pale yellow in color. Good head on pour and good carbonation with medium to large sized bubbles. Delicate aroma. Lightly flavored in mouth with some bitterness, followed by slight malic and lactic acid tastes on finish, followed by a slight astringency with pulp-flavored aftertaste. If you like fruit forward ciders, this is not one of them; this is austere, dry to off-dry, bare-bone, minimalist cider. A worthy exercise in creative or alternative cider making styles but it won't be to everyone's taste. I enjoyed it, so it's worth a try if you can approach it with an open mind. — 10 years ago
This is the greatest Cider producer in the world. Jacques is making "next level" ciders. This one comes from an ancient apple orchard in the pristine Alps. — 10 years ago
Drinking one of the 120 available bottles, it feels like experimental art: sheep cheese on the nose, chalky, earthy, shredded gums. — 11 years ago
Begins with tons of bright red fruit, which slowly fades to a nose of stem and forest floor. Well balanced with slight lingering acid and a long finish. — 11 years ago
Cherry cider made from local northern Michigan cherries sourced from Bardenhagen Berries in Lake Leelenau! So tart, so delicious! — 12 years ago
