Treat! Not trick. 1982. — 10 years ago
This wine is a stunner. The fruit is vivid but not overpowering. The mouthfeel is silky but weightless at the same time. And the acidity is sublimely balanced with the rest of the wine. A truly excellent expression of pinot noir. — 10 years ago
2010 a cold vintage, bringing a great wine and intense Riesling, Steiner Hund is one of the best place for great Riesling, pure and direct wine very precise with floral notes, rich and nice texture it evolves in a brilliant way - a great wine by one of the star of biodynamics — 11 years ago

Lovely Pinot from Alsace. Acidic red fruit and mineral notes. Picked this up at a wine shop in Amsterdam. 😊🙏 — 8 years ago
Loved it..nice stone fruit on nose with a good acidity to balance it out. More on the dry side then off dry . — 8 years ago
Aromatic. Black forest fruit. Leather. Good acid. More body, but not heavy. — 9 years ago
Gracefully aged Blaufränkisch from Hungarian earth. Wonderful nose with dried red berries, underbrush, licorice and red currant. Still a lovely acidity, soft fully integrated tannins. The Barrique maturation is not noticeable. Franz Weninger is now slowly reducing the oak treatment in all his wines. Mainly using big, used old casks. Can't wait till the now actual wines are in the age window of this Steiner. The 2013 Steiner from slate soil is also a stunner. — 9 years ago

Like a French Syrah — 10 years ago
Best Sauvignon Blanc to date! — 10 years ago
This puppy is till full of life, 21 years later. Zippy acid, intensely flavored fruit--Meyer lemon?--and mineral notes. Lingers long and nice. Gets a little thin in the middle, but the intense, long finish makes up for it. We had it with fresh white fish, scallops and corn off the grill on a hot eve. Perfect. — 11 years ago
For an off year this holds up in quality. A little more red fruit, raspberry, plum and some spice. — 12 years ago
GV Federspiel 2011/Riesling Steiner Pfaffenberg 2011 #Thanksgivingindulgence #thankyousturban, so much fighting over the wines that all I can say is they were g.o.o.d — 12 years ago

Medium garnet red with some ruby in the core. A touch of greenery on the nose with some twigs and strawberries. A touch of tobacco and cedar too. Medium acidity (6.5/10) with a light plus to medium body. Layered palate with notes of cinnamon, violet, white pepper, plums and a touch of mushrooms. Medium plus finish with a little bit of iron coming through. Drink till 2021.
