This wine was much better than the less dry version from the same vineyard. I got citrus notes with fruit, mainly apples. I am glad to have tried this wine in class as now I know to look for a much more dry white. It had a nice sensation in the mouth, and after the second sip I was really enjoying it. It is a wine I will buy again. — a year ago
Not as pepper-driven as previous vintage I’ve tasted but still enjoyable and highly quaffable. — 4 years ago
Dry with nice rose flavors. Good value — 6 years ago
Still youthful garnet color. Almost opaque. Fruit forward nose with notes of black cherry, rhubarb, brambly brush, moist earth and a little menthol. Fruit matches the acidity and delivers amazing balance. Another 96 that seems to have come around. A few years the acidity was too much to handle, but now it’s got a nice balance. — 8 years ago
Nice and smooth right from the first glass. — 10 years ago

Lush, earthy and highly rounded. I tend to be hard on the large winery's but this may open my mind TO them. — 12 years ago
One of the few Merlots I can drink at any time and don't have to be in the mood for. Fragrant, smooth, almost silky. — 12 years ago
Minerality with light grassy tones accentuated by light tropical notes. Pleasant. — 8 months ago
Delightful. Stone fruit and grapefruit/lychee notes with a tiny hint of effervescence. Slight minerality to balance and give body. — 9 months ago
2013 vintage. The second wine of La Chapelle, that is now named " Maison Bleue", but an excellent wine in its own right. At 9 years old this is absolutely gorgeous with an expressive nose of blackberries, wild flowers, pepper and leather, enhanced by a subtle smokiness. In the mouth it combines power with elegance, with pure fruit, subtle spices, silky tannins and great length. Terrific value if the mythical La Chappelle doesn't fit your budget. Liked it (2015) right away - full flavor, smooth finish. Great wine for the price, I️ would buy again. — 9 years ago

A delicious wine that should show even more in the next few years. With notes of kirsch and black currant, this soft, but complex wine is delicious. It has slight herbaceous undertones that round out the fruit forwardness. Probably one of the better Chat. Du Papes from this vintage. — 12 years ago
Very smooth, jammy. — 12 years ago

Light and slightly peppery. Very enjoyable — 11 years ago
Earth, sweet strawberry, floral, leather, clove, acid keeps it fresh tasting, light in texture. I would drink up — 12 years ago
Soy, white pepper, aircraft carrier of big plum jam and cranberry, a touch of heat on the finish, gentle allusions to leather, long way to go but good juice — 12 years ago

Un 2014 américain. (Il faut bien le boire un jour ). Il a été un peu long à ouvrir, mais il a encore du corps mais une belle souplesse et une belle longueur en bouche. Du fruit mûr. Très agréable. — 7 months ago
