Minerality with light grassy tones accentuated by light tropical notes. Pleasant. — 5 months ago
Incredibly smooth red blend. Strong berry scent, long smooth finish. Excellent wine. — 9 months ago
Not as pepper-driven as previous vintage I’ve tasted but still enjoyable and highly quaffable. — 4 years ago
Drinking with Laura on one of the last nights in my apartment! Opening up this bottle while watching The King of Staten Island! A heavier cab..yum! — 6 years ago
Clear, deep ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity primary and secondary aromas of black cherries, green peppercorns, and black currents; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, high tannins, medium alcohol, full body, and medium intensity primary and secondary flavors of blackberries, eucalyptus, tar, and graphite with a long finish. This wine is balanced, and complex. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. — 4 months ago

Delightful. Stone fruit and grapefruit/lychee notes with a tiny hint of effervescence. Slight minerality to balance and give body. — 6 months ago
PJW 6 pack for his visit - this is OTH, definitely some funk, Paul says wasn’t kept well, but great bones, it really grew on me as it opened - smoky, a bit of cobwebs, love it. Should seek out a ‘16 — 9 months ago
Yet another overachieving ‘22 Provence rosé; very satisfying after recent Provence vintages produced a cloying totty fruity pop. White flowers with a pinch of pepper greets you on the first swill. There’s some nice pineapple juice in the middle palate that takes you unexpectedly to a dry finish. This is good stuff and certainly worth a try. — 3 years ago

A nice Beaujolais from a vintage that I don’t usually love compared to 2014/2016. Definitely better with an hour or so in a decanter to let the tannins integrate a bit more. Dark purple in the glass - darker than expected. Nice cherry aromas. Still could resolve a bit more on the finish but with a slight chill is nice. — 6 years ago
Un 2014 américain. (Il faut bien le boire un jour ). Il a été un peu long à ouvrir, mais il a encore du corps mais une belle souplesse et une belle longueur en bouche. Du fruit mûr. Très agréable. — 4 months ago
New Years Eve dinner - which red wine to drink?! 🤔
Finally settled on an old favorite - Paul Jaboulet Hermitage.
Did not disappoint - smooth, concentrated fruits, with a hint of earthy, charcoal, tobacco.
Nice way to end our wine drinking for 2025, here’s to more great wines in 2026! 🥂 — 5 months ago

This wine was much better than the less dry version from the same vineyard. I got citrus notes with fruit, mainly apples. I am glad to have tried this wine in class as now I know to look for a much more dry white. It had a nice sensation in the mouth, and after the second sip I was really enjoying it. It is a wine I will buy again. — a year ago
2013 vintage. The second wine of La Chapelle, that is now named " Maison Bleue", but an excellent wine in its own right. At 9 years old this is absolutely gorgeous with an expressive nose of blackberries, wild flowers, pepper and leather, enhanced by a subtle smokiness. In the mouth it combines power with elegance, with pure fruit, subtle spices, silky tannins and great length. Terrific value if the mythical La Chappelle doesn't fit your budget. Smokey and fruity. Thick and rich, rather concentrated for a Gamay. — 3 months ago
