This is their premier Cabernet. Perfectly balanced- elegant. Tart Red and Black berries with good length and a touch of mint. Good acidity in the finish Just delightful with our grilled lamb chops on this cold blizzard night! At home with PJ my wife — 7 years ago
Interesting to read through the comments in this wine, it's not for everyone, but I love it. It reminds me of Big Black, if anyone remembers them from the 80s, the stark tannin structure is like that metallic grating guitar, cleansing, purifying, hard, stripped down. Orange wine is stripped down, it is missing the veneer of fruit and color, that is part of what is so special about it. It is like bauhaus architecture, you see the steel girders and the electrical conduit. This one is particularly that way. With a delicious resolution. — 8 years ago
Fruchtig, nur leicht verdeckt vom Barrique, der nicht zu stark ist. Ein schöner Wein. — 9 years ago
Beautiful nose of stark slate and lime zest. A confectionary quality develops afterv 10-15 minutes. Very clean and pure and very Mosel. This is drinking really well out of the gates. Initially there is underripe peach, green apple, lime lest, stones and more stones. Terrific acidity that could use maybe 30-40 minutes to integrate on the backend. Gets fleshier with each sip and show the fleshy fruit of the 2012's in full force. Really luscious fruit develops after 20 minutes or so.

Creamy, lime, mineral, a bite at the end — 5 years ago
Beautiful red mountain cab - 87% cab Sauvignon, 9% petit Verdot, 4% merlot. Stark tannins and deep dried cherries dominate a blend layered with nice toasty oak notes. — 7 years ago
An amazing rosé - the light color is a stark contrast to the power, strength and elegance behind it. An absolute delight. — 8 years ago
Very sweet red, maybe a little too much, but tasty and fun :) — 8 years ago

100% Mourvèdre - has lifted stripped down elegance and lithe structure, with slow building fruit, but there is a stark leather complexity and mineral edge from its forlorn mediterranean landscape. Reminds you of the unadorned, sunwashed, foreboding air of Mario Sorrento’s early 90s Calvin Klein ‘Obession’ campaign with Kate Moss. — 6 years ago
Mhmmmmm. Fruchtvoll und stark. — 7 years ago
A delicious Syrah. Matured from the wine I drank at the winery. Opened nicely and drank smoothly. — 9 years ago
Enso, made in PDX, has released their "Chateauneuf du Stark" based on the quartet of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Counoise (each at 25%) from Columbia Valley. Fragrant, phat, flirting with smoke & slate but so juicy...call me muy loco but it reminds me of papaya crossed with tobacco. Whatever, this li'l Stark ode to Chateauneuf isn't too big for its britches, it's daring & delightful! — 9 years ago

Koncentrerad och medelfyllig med en stark intensitet. Frukten är väldigt ren och avslutet kittlande mineralstinn. Har lite fina toner av anis och krutrök som letar sig in. Bra längd och fräschör. — 5 years ago
