Their corton wines are silly good. They all need like 20 years but wow. Never had anything from cotes de nuits

@Alex Lallos Have had really good Cortons from Ambroise, and a few duds. Cortons can be massive wines, but they are priced so well compared to most other Grand Cru Burg. Maybe not quite the subtlety of Richebourg. But worth it at 1/5 the price.

Domaine François Carillon

Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru Chardonnay 2010

2010 vintage. At La Cabotte in Nuits St George. Medium lemon hue. On the nose, highly concentrated and pure - mineral chalkiness, lemon citrus fruits, purity of aromas. Still very youthful but obviously refined and complex. On the palate, medium acidity, medium plus silky body, medium alcohol. High concentration - almond paste, honeyed and rich without being over whelming or difficult to consume many glasses of it! Long, but not lingering, length. Very refined and elegant. Superb wine. Drink now until 2036. — 9 years ago

Pear Brandy

Bartlett Pear eau de vie. (Lot PB-08)

This will be my initial experience with this bottle after passing it in my local shop numerous times and pondering the eventual purchase.

Ok... Just like everything else made under the roof at St. George's, this is crazy juice, nose is intense peeled pear skin and the palate has the truest expression of pear I've ever known. All this is distinctly Bartlett Pear, no question. Wow, perfect close to the evening.

I also like the Clear Creek Distillery version from Portland but side by side tasted with the one from the Schladerer Distillery from Freiburg Germany it fell short just to much in your face pear. Schladerer exports world wide even BevMo carries their spirits the Cherry 🍒 Version is stellar.

Thanks, I'll look up both of those producers, based on your palate, I think they should be quite nice.

Domaine Georges Noëllat

Les Boudots Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Beautiful nose with pronounced olive, rose and earth, thin on palate with little body, medium finish. Not typical nuit st. George, but Worked well with salmon dish. Lighter, maybe reconditioned? Love the vintage. — 8 years ago

Kind of profound? I mean, this is kind of a cru nuit st George in disguise. Crazy good. Beats the 2014 by a stretch. — 9 years ago

Hirsch Vineyard Pinot Noir 2000

A stunning new world pinot.... You really should not look for this wine. It's a baby and will last 20 more years.....wow what a wine. This would fool you for a mature burgundy. Definitely nuit st George esque in terms of fruit and masculinity this wine rocked. The folks I was tasting wine wondered if this could pair with steak.... Go figure. — 9 years ago

Botanivore Gin

My favorite gin to accompany tonic. Without a doubt more effervescent than hendrick's, but would recommend their dry gin for a gin martini. Very floral and delicious, little bit of spice. — 9 years ago
