First taste reminded me of Firenze in that the leather belts and purses were on the nose. Lots of floral arrangements now, solid round, very nice as always. Shout out to my 1 follower @Bill Bender ... it's my birthday and my goal is to be drinking at your level next year!

Pound for pound, one of the most solid zins out there. Blackberries, raspberries, spices galore. — 9 years ago
Solid. Needs some time. — 9 years ago
Very nice - rich and dark but not overly heavy. Solid choice. Pairs nicely with beef! — 10 years ago

Leather and sous bois and one brambles. Lovely and balanced. Still solid. Buy. — 9 years ago
Really solid Cab, a bit more tannic, which I enjoyed. — 9 years ago

A solid $12 dinner cab — 8 years ago
Dark ruby red, almost black at its center. The nose is bold and alluring with aromas of cherry, prune, vanilla, cinnamon, brand new cedar chest, and the occasional flick of black table pepper right to the back of the nostrils. Medium bodied with solid structure but still smooth and lush. Flavors of blackberries, plums, mint and pencil lead. It finishes with plums, mint, and some big tannin. — 8 years ago
This Kosta Browne was a solid Pinot. Very fruit driven for a Russian River. This was a 1/2 bottle, decanted a 1.25 hours. It had a wonder nose of black fruit, had a very faint scent of a dark salted Carmel, with a little 5-spice. The palate was more red fruit, with a hint of hint of anise/roasted fennel, it lingered with a shot finish. — 9 years ago
Needed a solid hour to open, but a treat when it did. This is drinking beautifully now, lots of puckery bramble fruit, smooth leather, tobacco smoke, and green herbs with assertive but integrated tannins. Shared with my pops over pork and fennel seed sausages, roasted new turnips and garden greens. — 10 years ago
Classic vintage - a solid 2004 Bordeaux. Purity of fruit, fresh and complex. Elegant, I enjoyed the nose. Palate lacked the X- factor I was looking for. Secondary characters just showing, leather and tobacco. Tannins very subtle. 93 points — 10 years ago
Solid, delicious, the least ostentatious kind of wine. No frills, no worries. This stuff is great. — 11 years ago

Father in law casually opens this up in on a Sunday. What is he sick in the head?! Solid wine... still a baby. Give it time to mature and it'll rock your socks. So much is going on here: floral on the nose, and dark ripe berries on the palate. I can still taste it 15 mins later... — 8 years ago
