2010 A good dry red - thought it might open up a little more but did not get there. Nice berry and cassis bouquet with a little smoke on the end. Enjoyed with grilled sockeye salmon and filet. A nice wine for the price point - $20 at Central Market. Will buy again. Cheers. — 11 years ago
Very enjoyable mouthfeel and taste. Perfect with wild sockeye salmon! — 11 years ago
Wonderful with fresh spring Oregon sockeye salmon! — 11 years ago
Sweet and light. But not overtly so as with Moscatoes. — 12 years ago
Dehlinger 2007 Goldridge Vineyard 33 year old vines RRV Pinot Noir
There is a "lightness" that defines everything about this wine; nothing concentrated or over-extracted, and the acidity provides a lively freshness.
It has a lighter garnet color with a faint tinge of orange. The nose mimics the palate. This epitomizes typical Russian River Valley fruit in experienced hands. A hint of strawberry compliments luscious cherry and cherry vanilla, supported by a light minerality, pencil shavings and forest. Extra smooth with everything in balance. This is a beautiful wine. It paired very nicely with traditional Midwestern Thanksgiving dinner, and might be even better with a simply prepared sockeye salmon. — 10 years ago
Not too complex but a nice fruity, acidic Pinot Noir. Great with my food, easy to drink, pretty fish on the bottle. I'd order it again. #pinotnoir #oregon — 11 years ago
I adore the uber-earthy 2005 vintage of Oregon Pinot. This one delivers, mellow and smooth; perfect with grilled sockeye salmon. — 11 years ago
Yes, it's Volnay. Light of touch, ethereal with lingering strawberry/cherry fruit. Consumed al fresco and paired with a light sockeye salmon dish. Life can be so difficult...... — 12 years ago
Very nice, not too dry. Oaky flavor, good with sockeye salmon and mushroom risotto. — 12 years ago
Great with sockeye salmon. — 14 years ago
How about them apples? Nice green apple up front, and a bright, citrus finish. A new favorite! Dinner with Joanna. Composed salad, with sockeye. — 11 years ago
The ratings for this cashmere in a glass red are way too low. It is a quintessential Cabernet Franc that is a great complement to red meats as well as meaty fish like sockeye salmon. Just superb with a nice long velvety smooth finish. — 11 years ago
This review is for the 2007 Marimar Estate Dona Margarita Vineyard Mas Cavalls Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Medium to dark garnet in color. Nice nose of dark cherry, spice, and earth.
Good flavors of black cherry, spice, and forest floor. Complex, well integrated flavors; very steady and persistent across the pallet, without being overpowering. Good body and smooth integrated tannins. Paired well with Sockeye Salmon with Cherry Vidalia Chipotle marmalade and sautéed Dinosaur Kale with Crispy Bacon. Drank well for three days. This wine is in its prime.

Cherry red garnet color. Beautiful aromas of cherry pie, strawberry, rhubarb, vanilla cinnamon, and sandal wood.
The palate follows the nose to some extent but is predominantly cherry and spice. The tannins are light and smooth but quite prevalent. The fruit is not as forward as it once was. I am left wanting more. It is still a very nice wine but I am sure it was better two to three years ago. I love Dehlinger Pinots but wish I would have opened this a few years ago with sockeye or Thanksgiving dinner to enjoy it at its peak. — 11 years ago
Clear, bright, ruby, medium concentration, rose colored rim, no gas or sediment with medium viscosity.
No aroma flaws, medium intensity, youthful, strawberry and vanilla. Bone dry, medium body, strawberries and raspberries with light oak vanillans. Earthy, wet earth. Medium soft tannins with medium alcohol and acidity. Medium finish.
Paired well with grilled sockeye salmon and grilled onions, zucchini, peppers and mushrooms (bridge ingredient) — 12 years ago
