Nose has cold green table grapes, tart green apple slice, wet slate, distant petrol, lime peel, under-ripe peach slice and dried tangerine peel.
Palate has dried lime, sweet green apple slice, slate gravel, under-ripe peach, under-ripe pear, bright acidy, medium finish. As the label states, (very) dry. Future bottles should be 2027+ — 6 years ago
Wow! What a nose.
Strong smells of roasting blackberry jam, on a slice of sourdough.
Heavy handed, with all your classic dark fruits, with a little bit orange ones thrown in, mostly that shows through in the acidity. Dried persimmons, allow this wine to finally rest.

Nose has toasted brioche, grilled lemon, warm lemon creme, lemon zest, oxidized pear slice and fresh, rising bread dough.
Palate has lemon poundcake, cold toast, limestone chips, dried lemon slice and (light) candied orange.
Great mid-palate, a restrained richness is all elegance, acid balance is perfect and not pulling you one way or another. At 15 years past vintage, a great example of finesse in Champagne.

Nose has yellow apple slice, lychee slice, washed lime, dry chalk and orange blossom.
Palate has warmed sweet green apple, lime peel, lime slice, crisp salinity, steely notes with medium level acidity. A short but fun finish, a solid wine for enjoyment; Purity of the appellation.
I am in agreement with some professional critics, the vintage of this Village wine appears a little softer than other years. This will be an earlier drinker, but would be rewarded with a brief hold of 1-2 years, 2022-23. ~$20 — 5 years ago

One the nose, perfumed purple florals, lilac, blue fruit blend, blackberries, black plum, black raspberries, hint of pepper, whiff of tobacco, dry herbs & dark soils. The body is leaner but the tannins are M-M+. The palate has lots of; blue fruits, black berry, black plum, black raspberries, pepper, tarry notes, black licorice, dry herbs, figs, tobacco, soft leather, round, big, acidity and leaner nice perfumed finish. Perhaps the best infused Gin for cocktails. Add Lillet and lemon peel for a Vesper or simply add good tonic water. You could even enjoy it on the rocks with a slice of orange. — 9 years ago
