White nectarines, sweet Meyer lemon, slight toasted pine nuts. All flavors are up front. Refreshing with a clean finish. One of my favorite producers!! Very happy we had a chance to meet Laetitia Billiot when she was in Napa at the Skurnik tasting. Dosage 9g. Disgorged September 14, 2017. MS — 7 years ago
Skurnik tasting. Get your lips on bygone varieties. Petit Meslier and Arbanne in this one. — 8 years ago
Beautiful aromatics on the nose. Bright red cherry and cranberry fruit, clean minerality, with an underlying earthiness on the palate. Very good balance of fruit/acidity with supple tannins for a young wine. This wine needs some time to open up but showing very elegantly now.
'Fruit is 100% destemmed and slightly crushed before transferred into stainless steel tank. The punching of the cap is done twice a day BY FOOT. The wine is then aged in French oak barrel (70% new) for 12 months.
Alexandrine’s ‘Vieilles Vignes’ is made from a selection of the oldest vines of the estate (about 70 years old).' - Skurnik Wines — 10 years ago
From last night. Aged nose, rich, decent balance, maybe could have used a bit more acid. Austere with minerals. Would have liked to have tried it a year or so ago. Can't recall how much I spent on it, but if it's $21, it over delivered. #wine #mosel #riesling #terrytheise #skurnik — 10 years ago

Charming Gruener Veltliner. Imported by Skurnik in NYC. Served with green and white asparagus and mixed mushrooms (Morels, Enokitake, Oyster, Cremini, etc.). A touch of residual sugar, but it worked well with the food. Nice yellow color, more weight than most Grueners, and good fruit on the nose and palate. — 8 years ago
A really solid TBA and the first I've ever had from Muscat. Complex with candied orange rind, maple candy, and sous bois notes. The Darting wines across the board are some of the greatest values I've ever found in Germany. Any chance of some library releases @Skurnik Wines @joel Schott ? — 10 years ago
A great Skurnik bottle. — 10 years ago
Tasting through the fall wines w/Skurnik crew, got to try this new (to NYC) wine. Planted 1907 on it's own roots. #amadorftw — 11 years ago
Curious @ story behind this-a very good maker but not carried by its main importer Skurnik, there's tittle 2 no press on it,it's lovely-oily texture&grapey muscat like flavors at fiore, acid in background.if this is black sheep of producers line up I'm in! — 11 years ago

Any 1 Liter bottle under 14$ deserves a peek-this being a ‘15, a good Mosel producer, & the salty tang-for me, unexpected from Mosel, that feels more Nahe to me, well, clicks so many boxes (including being a wife pleaser) that brings happiness indeed. Skurnik/Thiesse — 7 years ago
