Lush, creamy mouthfeel. I suspect full malolactic, no lees or oak. There's a whiff of Christmas in here...perhaps potpourri. Cinnamon. The nose is all subtlety, and the pallatte is a blanket of lemon, pear, underripe peach. If there were more acid it would be harsh. I paired with cheese pizza and was surprised that it seems disrespectful. — 7 years ago

What a wine! Extraordinary deep purple color, great smell on plums and dark fruit, full-bodied, complex multi-layered taste, rather oaky (barrique) and wild, rough tannins, medium plus aftertaste. Powerful, rustical, wild. I like it! But it should be consumed with a rich meal. — 8 years ago
