I'm like a skipping record with these Pupillins but the initial shipment was 'impressive' size so the repeats are so inevitable.

This one was much better than the last ones. The tanin / acidity hookup here was really different and I can't say why. Three months on a rack surely can't be reason? — 9 years ago

I've been skipping around the rose territory the last couple of years purposefully not drinking this one and this was my return, a 375mL bottle shared. Easily in my perspective the most forward, complex, and fun pink wine to drink. This needs nothing at all to be 100% satisfying in every aspect. It's not a wonder why I do my best to lay off this stuff. — 10 years ago

Beautiful and deep. Nice black and red fruit with the recognizable tar and rose on the nose. Like to think I would bail this in a blind tasting. — 11 years ago

Big call, but here's to Kumeu River Maté's Vineyard being one of the best #chardonnay in the world! What a #wine! Bright, tight & focused at 8 years of age, with apple blossoms & cinnamon stick followed up by flinty, gun smoke, sun drenched slate tiles, & the faintest whisper of lemon curd on the nose, carrying me away to memories of my youth. Once upon the palate, it boogies to an electrophoretic humming of liquid energy, bringing life, happiness & joy with it. Sapid, sexy acids whirl about playfully, skipping to an extended denouement, combining its components into one, luxuriously wondrous whole. Love it so! — 9 years ago
