Best served chilled ,very fresh ,loved the floral notes. is great on its own best and consumed within a short time frame. — 8 years ago
Very inky in color (almost black) with a short deep purple rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, black plums, sweet cherries, dried figs, green vegetables, herbs, chocolates, leather, tobacco, earth, vanilla, oak, forest floor, cola, spices, peppercorn, smoke and alcohol.
Full bodied and bold with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Extra dry on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, earth, spices, leather, smoke, tar, beef jerky, chocolates, mocha, dark coffee and peppercorn.
Medium plus in finish with hugh, green tannins and black pepper.
This teeth staining Petite Sirah, is still very young and austere for most drinkers. A little unbalanced, with big tannins.
Needs 3 hours to open up properly, and will be better in 3 years, when all of the component will come together. Still has some heat at the back of the throat.
A Great wine to pair with BBQ Meats. I enjoyed it all by itself with a gorgeous weather.
15.4% alcohol by volume. — 8 years ago
The nose is incredible. Fruity, jammy, spicy, vanilla, blueberry pie with buttery crust. Palate is silky with soft tannins and notes of vibrant red and black fruit, cherries, blackberries and dates. Slight herbal undertones of bay leaf and thyme. Oak presence intensifies after an hour or so. This is Thanksgiving in a glass. The short finish is balanced with black fruits and savory herbs. Really tasty, easy drinking Cab that's a nice change of pace from a traditional Cab. — 9 years ago
How many ways can you say YUM!!
Dark fruit, so velvety!! Tremendous mouthfeel. Short finish but definitely buying a few bottles of this. — 10 years ago
Savory, meaty, forest & bramble. Big black & blue fruit, mid-weight, long sweet tannin. Short money for good Cali. #wine @Esoterica Bonny Doon Vineyard Proper Claret '12 — 10 years ago
very good with a short finish. tannin is still more than necessary but does not stop you from drinking it — 11 years ago
Jammy and full but not acidic. Short but light finish. — 12 years ago
After oly, 17 mile bike ride and a short run! — 7 years ago
Black pepper and red fruit on the nose. Tightly wound tannins. Cloves and spice on the palette. Short finish. — 8 years ago
Fruity, apple scent, fresh and smooth wine. Easy to drink. — 8 years ago
Nice red color, with hint of floral and oak. Nice and short finish — 9 years ago
Intense overripe/jammy blackfruits, think black currant and blackberries. Black pepper, gamey, and a bit of baking spices also on the nose. This wine has seen some short period of time in new oak. On the palate, this wine is fruit forward with the ripe jammy blackfruit, with the pepper, game, and cinnamon/clove in the background. A generous lush mouthfeel with soft tannins and surprisingly light bodied and incredibly easy to drink. A pleasant young wine to be enjoyed whilst young. — 9 years ago
2011. Velvety smooth. I really like this. It wasn't amazing with the BLT and the braised short rib nachos, but I think that was more user error. This wine was pretty great, mid long finish, fruit forward in a very pleasant and non intrusive way. — 9 years ago
Limno, Syrah, merlot blend. Very savory, olive, bay leaf flavours. Tannic. A little short. — 10 years ago
This one took is on a journey from alcohol heavy in the beginning to Bologna and fruity and ending smooth as silk. Had it at Mr Parkers in Palm Springs ... No corkage! Went well with the Kobe short ribs and a Sirloin. Wine was better than the food by a mile. — 10 years ago

Enjoyed as second wine with Asian seafood Courses at Keiko a Nob Hill in SF — 10 years ago
Supple, ripe and round. The elevated alcohol in this wine drives the aged aromatics to a fever pitch. In short, a beautiful wine. — 11 years ago
Murky medium garnet with thin orange rim. Fresh blackberry, bay leaf and licorice, band-aid, VA. High alcohol balanced by intense bitterness on finish, some powdery tannin, medium minus acid. Slightest spritz? Citrus peel in mouth. Surprisingly light body and short finish. 14.2%. Day 2: more complex nose, raspberry jam, dried flower, maybe butterscotch. — 7 years ago
Lovely highland single malt. Just a bit of sweetness in the form of caramel. No sourness. Smoke is mild and pleasant. The finish is just a bit too simple and short for my liking. — 8 years ago
Another coravin sample to check in quickly. Dark and deep ruby red. Coats your teeth. Very tight on the nose, this will need at least a couple hours to open up. Just a few notes of iron, flowers and cherries. Heavy tannins (8.5/10) and full bodied. Tons of potential, would like to taste this over half a day and see where it goes. Red cherries and minerality on the palate. A little bit of spices, herbs, savory and black cherries or raspberries. Keeps gaining complexity with air. Very long and dry finish. Easily drink for two decades. 93+
Even from this short taste, highly recommend both of these Lineage vintages. — 8 years ago
Muted savory nose of bacon fat, herbs, and oak. Low acid and moderate tannins lead way to an herbal and earthy palate filled with rosemary, thyme, bay leaf, truffles, and red fruit. Smoke and wood close out the palate. The finish is a bit short. Unique bottle for sure. — 9 years ago
1996 vintage. Typical pyrazine nose (bell pepper, bay leaf) with raspberry. Soft tannins stop-short the ripe red berry character. — 10 years ago
Not as zippy as NZ Sauvignon Blanc. Oily mouthfeel, lime zest, short finish but plenty refreshing! Makes it a lot easier to sip by itself, especially on our 80 degree night — 11 years ago
What a pleasant aroma but short on delivery — 11 years ago

Nose of tar and marijuana! Palate features cigarettes, mild fruit, and subtle spice. Short finish. Wine seems off versus other bottles. It's also hard following the 2009 Inglenook Cab. Not bad by any means, but not the wine I rated so high in the past. — 7 years ago
