One of my favorite sparkling wines. Very complex. Compares with Better Champagne — 8 years ago
Had on Jet Blue of all places. Dry and smooth, they could have circled all day and I was ok. — 9 years ago
Underrated. I am not going to say there are no better cool climate domestic Syrahs out there. But please submit your submissions and try to prove us wrong. For its category, this is highly worthy of attention. — 10 years ago
1997 vintage. Amazingly full of fruit and good acid. — 10 years ago
One of my favorites! Enjoyed with Thanksgiving dinner. — 4 years ago
I can’t tell you how many of these bottles of this I’ve enjoyed. Beautiful glou — 5 years ago
Warm spicy notes of toasted oak. Thick. Very full bodied. Long taste afterwards. Very velvety! Love this red!! — 7 years ago
Big, bold cab but also jammier than the typical cab. Has Syrah like notes because of it. — 7 years ago
Probably the most exciting wine I've had from California or maybe the U.S. this year. Absolutely delicious, refreshing acidity with bright, soft blackberry fruit and the faintest hint of cassis on the finish. It's perfect. This is my favorite kind of wine. — 9 years ago
Wow. This does not taste like an 04, lots of dark fruit still left on this one. A little tartness to it almost. Could still age this one for a bit. Decanted this for about 6 hours. — 10 years ago
How do you say "Delectable"? This wine fits the bill: balanced, pronounced acidity, nice barrel regime, loam soil; I think the balance of these is key though. No words be said while sipping, except "damn!" — 11 years ago
Bright ruby red color. Bountiful aromas of red berries and dried violets. Pallet is full of strawberry and raspberry fruit with hints of black tea, baking spices, earth and pepper spice. Just a bit of a “gamey” quality as well. Nice hint of oak on the clean finish. Fine tannins and bright acidity. Creamy texture. Rich and nicely rounded. Absolutely a “California-Style” Pinot Noir. Nice choice, Mark Smith. — 3 years ago
Fruit comes from the coolest coastal parts of this appellation, linked by the influence of the Pacific’s cool marine air, which delays ripening. Ruby with rich berry fruit, citrus and floral spice. On the palate, strawberry and cherry, tangy, with cedar notes and earthy tones. Bright acidity, soft expressive tannins, long finish ending with mineral and cedar spice. Very nice, drink now & over next 5 years. — 5 years ago
Not my favorite Arietta. Tons of vanilla sort of overwhelms the fruit on the palate. Great nose, though. A bit hot on the finish. — 6 years ago
Floral nose, lots of minerality. Amazing wine. Loved the contrast to his. Good enough to just drink without food. — 7 years ago
One of my favs I love all of Dave Matthews wine — 10 years ago
Racy red fruits with an exotic flair. Quite precocious and ready to drink with a bit of air. Quite delicious. — 10 years ago
Bright aromas tangerine and citrus with a touch of pear. Juicy on the palate with tons of slatey minerality. Bright acidity balanced by lemon and lime fruit. Medium clean finish. — 11 years ago

Another excellent wine but not as good as the Domaine de Chevalier; chosen by Sommelier John Ragan of The Modern, NYC for a corp wine tasting. — 12 years ago
