Brut rose. Combination of chardonnay and pinot noir grates provides excellent taste — 4 years ago
Mint and pear on the nose. Upfront there’s a really interesting impression of cotton candy or bubblegum. Then I get a mild apple cider vinegar and tart pear note. Finishes with a strong lemon oil linger. Aged pretty nicely, only a hint of ferment that I actually kind of linked! — 4 years ago

Today was my annual hosting of the Wednesday Wine Committee. There was 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds and 1 dessert, all provided by me. Tasted blind, as always.
Copying my note from the ‘07 vintage as the wines are near identical. I will say that I didn’t get as much yeast out of the ‘09 as I did the ‘07, but it’s hard to know if it was simply due to age. I’ll hold back a bottle or two for a few years and revisit then.
Next to Ultramarine and the Reserve Schramsberg Sparklers, this is one of the best domestic Sparklers I’ve had, especially at the price ($50). Nose was grilled honeycomb, baked yeast and a small bit of limestone. Extremely creamy on the front palate...bubbles were so incredibly tiny. Multiple bubble strings. Wonderful lemon bread palate, with a crisp, chalky finish highlighted by grilled pineapple. There seemed to be more green apple notes here compared to the ‘07 vintage, but may be due to youth. This is an excellent US version of champagne. — 6 years ago
This '07 has held up well! Crisp and refreshing to go hand and hand with today's weather. 'Was enjoyed by spectators at the Easter egg hunt this evening. I can only hope I'm as bubbly and fired up for my 5k tomorrow! 🍾🔥#letsturnitup #schramsberg — 9 years ago
Absolutely brilliant and nostalgic. Bloomy cheese rind, rose hips, bright acidity. Bring on 2016! — 9 years ago
A good red wine by the makers of Schramsberg. Would be good with steak, not just everyday drinking. — 11 years ago
Last of my cellars club high quality shipments, end of an era. Really going to miss wines like this one. 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir. Drank the whole bottle in one sitting with a bag of Boom Chicka Pop because that was the best tip I’ve received in the caves. — 4 years ago
Great tartness, rich apple and pear, smooth and creamy vanilla, fewer bubbles. Soooo good! — 4 years ago

2006 was much more fruit forward but this was subtle and very drinkable. Went down too easy... — 8 years ago
Surprisingly delicious brut rose. Not too sweet, great brut taste. Highly recommend when you need some bubbles and a splash of pink ;) — 8 years ago
