The love child of Riesling and Schiava. Citrus, peach, tannin and mouth watering acidity. — 9 years ago
Really light red wine, served chilled. Almost a rose. Not sweet at all, but not super dry either. — 10 years ago
Really jazzed about this wine - light but with good texture. Strawberry and other bright fruit! — 11 years ago
Easy and fresh — 11 years ago
Very light, almost juicy, but not sweet. Really nice. — 12 years ago
Tropical and mineral nose, pineapple and mango. While the fruit somewhat dominates, it is a nice dance on the palate of fruit, acidity and earthy flavors. It is a wine with character as any white from the Tre Venezie area in Italy. This wine is from a local grape called Kerner. From Karen McNeil’s Wine Bible: the grape was created by crossing the red Schiava grape with white Riesling grape... explains the fruit forward characters if the wine. — 7 years ago
Holy shit. My first Schiava - why am I not drinking this all of the time? Light mouth feel with bold fruit and a touch of almond extract — 8 years ago

Velvety alternative to our favorite Vernatsch. Thanks For the great recommendations Danny at Piccino — 10 years ago
Nice tart bite and fairly acidic, sweet cherry smell, very fruit forward but resides for awhile, alcohol is bright and overall good complexity but missing a level of cleanness I desire. — 10 years ago
Botticino DOC 2010, 14 %. Bottle tasted in November 2014.
I was not familiar with this wine, but the first thing I can say is: WOW!
Interesting and rich nose, full bodied and round in the mouth. The aging in wood made this wine so smooth, and totally satisfying. More, please! — 11 years ago
Schiava Bischofleiten! My fave red glass pour at work right now. — 11 years ago
Rose without being too sweet. Tart/acidic at first then warmed up nicely with olives and smoked almonds. — 12 years ago
