GL tasting 1/27/17 Langoa Leoville. nice nose of fruits and rounded and silky and carries through to a velvety body and long finish. Very fresh and drinkable. Says very underrated. — 8 years ago
Who says 2011 didn't produce any good wines??? Pitch black in the glass. The nose on this is all man; eucalyptus, mint, fresh leather, cigar tobacco, sage. For such an extracted wine, the palate is extremely light on its feet. Dark berries abound, balanced by nice acidity. There's a nice core of fruit, maraschino cherries. This doesn't have the density to be truly age worthy, but will evolve beautifully over the next 5-10 years. — 9 years ago
This was the stellar wow. The meteor that knocks on your door and says good day. #renegadewines — 9 years ago
This wine sparks fantastic conversations, tastes spicy/complex/rich, and is available at the restaurant where we are right now. Plus, @debbie rosenbaum says it makes her drunk. — 9 years ago
Full but smooth, a nice peppery taste with fruit. It says silky tannins on the bottle and I couldn't agree more! Great with gourmet pizza (caramelized onions, roasted garlic, basil, goat cheese, mushrooms, etc.) — 10 years ago
CEO hands me the list and says pick a bottle to get us started...no problem:) — 10 years ago

As @chardonnay650 says, this is as good as it gets in Sonoma, and good is great. — 12 years ago
Fantastic Cabernet, as always. This is my all-time favorite California Cabernet and this vintage (2010) does not disappoint. The wine is rich and complex, with immediate impact on the palate and in the nose. Earthy and spicy, yet well rounded with berries and floral notes. Finishes smoothly but with a little nip of spicy and leathery creamy voluptuousness. Maureen says, "delicious!" — 8 years ago
Like it says...butter forward! A little straw and light on the palate. Can't go wrong with it! — 8 years ago
Who says 2011 was a bad year? Beautiful garnet from the glass. Elegant floral and blue fruit on the nose. Deep blueberry, black berry and currant tastes on the palate. Excellently structured with sweet tannins and beautiful acidity. These grapes come from a great Oakville neighborhood. Great family owned winery! — 9 years ago
The bible says Jesus the Nazearan arose from the grave on the third day to ascend into heaven...in reality he arose to go get another bottle of this wine — 9 years ago
Very dark and rich. Interesting finish, says Julie — 9 years ago
Really a very nice Chardonnay. The nose is very rich and buttery, while the wine is slightly acidic and rather floral on the tongue. It is floral and citric at the finish. Overall, very nice at $15. Maureen says "pleasant, citrusy, acidic. Not my favorite, but fine." — 10 years ago
Pizza says thank you. — 10 years ago
Superb! Nice and thick body, red cooked fruit, deep, hint of vanilla and light smokiness with light tannins. Feels almost sweet. Length is great. Dad says it's close to a medic from the same vintage, but it feel less "serious" and more "feminin". Will definitely buy it again — 10 years ago
Really nice Pinot. Earthy and rich in the nose, fruity and floral on the tongue. A little barnyard but not too much. Well rounded and very drinkable. Enjoyable with cheese and crackers. Definitely would drink again. Maureen says "too bad it's gone." — 11 years ago
Excellent old cab with some fruit. Good balance. WS says drink by 2012, I say 2014-15. — 12 years ago
Australia's premium Shiraz Viognier blend and Tim Kirk says this is the best one he has ever made. I have been buying since the 2001 vintage. This is a cracking cool climate Shiraz blend showing florals Spice and a hint of pepper. Palate is restrained - more the weight of Pinot than Shiraz. Intensity without weight- Fluid, beautiful finishing with fine persistent tannins- 15 years stretching ahead of it. More whole bunch than the early vintages like many Aussie Shiraz producers these days. David Le Mire MW said whole bunch serves to lower the alcohol and increase the pH. Gives a "Tea" character with Stem tannins adding to the finish. — 8 years ago
When opened.. typical old style ..so dry it makes you pucker.. great legs, color deep purple, earthy.. so dry.. 5 minutes later it blossoms ..the fruit says hello.. it challenges your tongue to express something new bold. Sweet smooth and wonderful.. now you know why you drink wine!!? — 8 years ago
The label says crisp and refreshing and that's no lie. At $7.99 a bottle 9.1 alcohol and a slight frizzant strawberry currant flavor what's not to like? I'm stocking up! — 9 years ago
This wine screams NZ! Full on nose and palate of passion fruit (does what is says on the label!). Also orange blossom and honeysuckle. — 9 years ago
2013 Machete is a California Petite Syrah that is heavy on the syrah and has 12 different labels with scantily clad woman holding machete. The label says CA red wine but thats just if the blend flexes so they don't have ro change the label. — 10 years ago
2004. Surprising for a Barbera. Yes, it had acidity, but the acidity had mellowed over the years. Less fruity than a typical Barbera and with more earthiness. Strong with the Funghi pizza at Marta and with the Rabbit Meatballs. Great suggestion by Brian (one of the somms). Also, a good deal: Delectable says the retail price is around $65 for current release and $50 for the 2004. List price at Marta was only $72! — 10 years ago
As the name says, cherry vs black fruits, somewhat tannic. Judy says off nose. Will have to try again. Good value. — 11 years ago
If you notice it says 3L on the label. — 11 years ago
Light fruitiness with a soft, floral feel. David says this is "special". — 12 years ago
