Had better. $10 from Wegmans — 3 years ago
A joint venture of Jorge Ordonez, Bodegas Borsao and Chris Ringland, located in the town of Bulbuente (Zaragoza) Spain. Alto Moncayo is the flagship of the winery. A single-grape variety of Garnacha, from vines between 40 and 70 years old, aged in new barrels for 20 months. Bold aromas of fruit and spice. On the palate black fruit flavors, rich and full-bodied, with complex spice. Fine tannins, savory, good structure ending with a smoky character. Very nice! — 4 years ago
Neighborhood wine store. Front end expected and typical, back end was a pleasant twist of under ripe white fruit with nice complexity. — 5 years ago
Nice body and tannins. Perfect with chili. — 5 years ago
It’s nice pleasant wine with floral, bitter almond and citrus aromas. Dry, balanced acidity, alcohol and body. Quiet short length. — 6 years ago
Ripe fruit but not over anything with enough freshness to carry it through. Soft and long. — 2 years ago
Used this to cook Coq Au Vin. Was excellent to cook with and would buy again. Red berries, dry, flavor. Did not drink this and would probably not buy again to drink. — 3 years ago
Bright and fresh, a little effervescent — 4 years ago
Tad unctuous, oily, grassy, lemons and limes.
Better after a few minutes and with food. — 4 years ago
Absolutely incredible value for money. VERY fruit forward, with “Touriga Nacional” in the front of the queue, if you don’t like port or fruity wines, stay away from this one, but for an amazingly drinkable daily “Table Wine” at around AU$ 10.00 a bottle? This is a winner on every level.

A very fruity wine with hints of leather/wood.
Medium dry.
While drinking this I burped and the first thought that popped into my head was Oooh blueberries.

Wow! 2012 vintage opened August 2019. Incredible depth with tons of citrus fruit on the nose and lingering after. Loved this stuff! — 5 years ago
Absolutely loved this wine! Well balanced and complex blend of 3 interesting grapes. — 5 years ago
Big and bold, the nose is cigar box and leather. On the palate dark fruit, tobacco, cocoa, leather and oak. Chewy tannic finish with fine acid. — 6 years ago
