Bella Vigna Sangiovese 2012

This excellent Sangiovese is unfiltered and has a maroon rather than ruby tint. It is slightly fuller of body than your typical Sangio and extremely polished, and worked well as a pairing with vegetable pasta dishes, with chicken sausage on the side. Plum and currant flavors prevail up front leading into a tart black licorice finish. — 8 years ago

Los Pilares

La Dona's Sparkling Muscat

Love it. Super aromatic and tropical on the nose. Peaches, mango, and apricots. But none of that fruit comes through on the palate. More grapefruit, super minerally, lots of sediment and funk. Bone dry. — 7 years ago

100% Mourvedre. Keg wine. Carafe wine. Get-in-my-face wine. Chuggable. Picked early possibly for a rosé, turns out it's the perfect red vin de soif, juicy, bright, food friendly refresher you've been looking for. — 8 years ago
