Really a mind expanding wine. Would never have guessed Aglianico or 2008 or 15%. Quite herby and earthy but with some core of fruit too - long finish with good acid. Lovely mouthfeel as well. And a great pairing with Marcella Hazan’s long cooked bolognese. — 2 years ago

Beautiful super Tuscan from the Salvatore Ferragamo family. A blend of merlot, cab sav, and syrah. Big dark fruit, tobacco and vanilla with some chewy tannins. Need to stock up on this at $50!!! — 5 years ago

@delectable Vini Marino fiano. Vendemmia tardiva

On open nose is a bit earthy. Mineral. A pleasant hint of porcini.

Palate has great tropical fruit. Very mineral. Great mouthfeel. Just feels luxurious. Really caresses the palate. Almost like a very good meursault. Delicious. A hint of unctuous was but in a good way. Just a kiss of an echo of honey tang that balances it out. Some lovely saltiness. — 5 years ago

Nose is spice and green pepper. Pepper goes away with air. Replaced by black pepper.

Palate is huge hit of spice. Incredibly fresh hand crushed wild blackberries. Super delicious. Amazing silky texture. Spice integrates with air. Amazing entry level wine. More perfect mid season cherry with air. Cherry pit as well.

Big wine, lots of earth, tar, leather, pipe tobacco and balsamic and spice, and lots of blackberry. Such a full and potent wine. I wanted to drink the aromas. Roses and other flowers. A real romp in the forest. It was ready to come home. — 6 years ago
