One of chef de cave Geoffroy's favorite vintages, but not mine. The heat of the year and lack of Chardonnay makes for a flatter than expected Champagne. At The Relais & Chateau vertical of Dom Perignon with chef de cave Richard Geoffroy. — 11 years ago
Super yummy SB from high in the Sierras. Savory herbal notes making me happy! — 12 years ago
2011 vintage. $18 retail. Banging deal. — 12 years ago
This beautiful 2005 cab was an anniversary gift from a great friend of mine @Jeff Savigny The vintage is the year we got married. The nose is so complex and yet so subdued, it practically blew my mind. A nose full of roses, tobacco, dark fruit and licorice with a hint of molasses and vanilla. On the palate very dry, with a faint aged acidity, yet very rich and delicious. You can spend just as much time smelling this as drinking it. This was a near perfect wine and a great anniversary present! — 11 years ago
Love this #wine. Salt, minerality, citrus. — 12 years ago
Yummmm...! So well done. Awesome blend by #Sigalas full of lemony acidity, crazy minerality, savory aspects of Truffle salt & lemongrass... Umami happening here. Great find. Get it. 👍👏 — 12 years ago

I felt like I needed a snorkel and fins when I placed my nose in the glass. I cannot recall a wine that showed so much seashell and saline. Laser focused compared to the 2005 Dauvissat's I recently tasted. Wave after wave of salt, minerals and citrus. A very long and fresh finish. No rush to open. Textbook. — 11 years ago
