Sémillon Sauvignon Blanc Blend

Château d'Yquem

Y Ygrec Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 2017

No doubt at this point in time, the Sauvignon Blanc is dominating. Intense, lemon and lime with above average acidity that makes this wine almost one dimensional at this point in time. Would love to revisit in a decade. My score reflects today with unlimited upside potential. — 3 months ago

Santa Chiara Umbria Bianco Malvasia Blend 2019

Pours a copper-gold color that will immediately make you wonder if this has been oxidized, but apparently that's the style. Like their reds, they seem to turn everything up to 11 in Montefalco.

After decanting in the glass, aromas of toffee, white flowers, almonds, bitter oranges, and minerals. Very funky and interesting, but not something I'd hand innocent wine drinkers.

Really exceptional. Have usually had these with more age, but this is delicious at this point. Surprising amount of green Apple and similar acid to go along with that. Excellent pairing and just a great wine. — 5 years ago

Chaleur Estate Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 2017

Cantina Terlan

Terlaner Classico White Blend 2013

Alto Adige on full display with tart bitterness of pitted fruits and slate. Lush tropical notes and a hint of vanilla (the Chard?) round out the frame. Not much of a finish to speak of. Crisp enough for seafood, but with a ripeness that will pair well with a host of cheeses or your favorite South Asian hot sauce. QPR heaven too! — 9 years ago

Château Lynch-Bages

Blanc de Lynch-Bages White Bordeaux Blend 2022

An incredible delectable white blend of 67% Sauvignon Blanc, 22% Sémillon, and 11% Muscadelle by Lynch-Bages, a 5th Growth Chateau, that its wines quality exceeds far beyond its status of the 1855 class. Limited quantity available, and exceptionally balanced white, creamy on the nose thanks to its aging process as the Must was exposed up to 6 months in barrels on lees with 50% French oak that provides enough complexity to keep your sense stimulated. Bright character, lemon peel, dry and yet some decent crispiness, a bit of mandarin and cream pie on the back end of the palate. Vinified to drink it young and fresh! If you find it, get it without hesitation, you will love it. — 4 months ago
