Wow. Delicious. Much richer and new world in style than the 88 which was tasted in conjunction. — 12 years ago

Beautiful! Quite different than the '88 and '89. Not as heavy and unctuous. Very light, great acidity with the perfect amount of sweetness. Had en magnum. — 13 years ago
Crisp, clean, just enough oak taste. Smooth, clean. Very enjoyable. — 11 years ago
Really nice Barbera. Good balance between alcohol and fruit. Would pair well with pork BBQ or even a spicy shrimp. — 12 years ago
My favorite from a vertical of 86, 88, 93, 95, 97 from Mag, 02 and 04. Personality in spades. — 12 years ago

Stunning wine 88 vintage. cherries raspberries bacon fat and savory herbs. Well balanced with acidity that really brings out the fruit. — 12 years ago

Lewis Chester
1985 rose vintage Dom Ruinart. Deep salmon, orange hue. Ripe apricot and butterscotch. 10g dosage. On palate, rich and porcini and truffle. Meaty and leather. Acidity is integrated. Soy sauce and apricot. Good length. Prefer the '88. But great wine. — 11 years ago
