Rustic. At Mamnoon. I preferred the Barbera. — 10 years ago
Black cherries, barnyard, green peppercorns, prunes, mission figs, cacao. Excellent acid/minimal smooth velvet tannin balance, medium bodied, gorgeous silky texture, long complex earthy/peppery/smoky finish. Beautiful weight, rustic sensibilities laid over delicate body. — 10 years ago
Oh my goodness. That perfect drinking stage. Earth. Fruit. Game. Rustic. This is what it's all about. Just heavenly Rhone. Mmmmm. — 11 years ago
Elegant display of classic jalapeño, olives and rustic farm notes. Yet the fruit is still present with beautiful tinges of plum and raspberry. — 11 years ago
First 13 tasted. Sensuality with rustic power. — 11 years ago
Smoky-gamey macerated wild strawberries with mint. On the palate, surprisingly light and fruity, riper berry concentration, medium acidity, and low tannins. DOC regulations require 85% Petit Rouge, the most widely planted grape in the region, but this is 100%. Medium licorice finish. Overall, this is a more rustic Gamay and quite pleasant.

Rustic, fatty and old school. Pairs perfectly with a fatty ribeye.

2005 vintage. Decanted. Aromas and flavors of olive, garrigue, leather, iron and black grape skin. Rustic. Mild, dusty tannins. Juicy acid. Paired great w/ filet and garlic butter. Solid value. — 11 years ago
I was the only one that guessed Bordeaux. Shows again that 45 was a big year for Bordeaux and of course historically. Very light and translucent in the glass. Has a rustic ness to it that is very attractive and the fruit has a sweetness that captures what this might have been when younger. Great finish. — 11 years ago

Best saison I've ever had. Near perfect beer. Bottle conditioned. Dry apricot, lemon peel, fresh hay, saison funk, it goes on and on to a bone dry, and tart finish. — 10 years ago
