Winemaker Joseph J. Wagner is a 4th generation winemaker from a family with farming and winemaking roots in the Napa Valley since 1906. Deep Ruby (darkest Pinot almost looks like a Cab) with aromas of ripe berries and spice notes. The palate shows rich black fruits, blackberries, plums and black cherries, vanilla spice, cedar and cacao. Rich soft tannins, firm acidity on lingering finish ending with mineral tones. Classic; still only a sip — 6 years ago
The more of these I add, the more this app disappoints. How can it not find this accurately w/o me manually selecting? The wine itself I find ok. I thought these were supposed to be bigger. This one was better than the Hayne which surprised me. Better aromatics and still light given a Zin. — 8 years ago
Love this wine and at $8-$12 for a price point, it's pretty awesome! — 8 years ago
Solid Zin. Nice fruit, a bit light on the spice but well-balanced. — 9 years ago

Chocolate covered black fruit.

Rhone garrigue + California fruit = Rigde zin. Ching took the trip to Little Star as a throwing down of the gauntlet and pulled out the semolina flour and cornmeal for a deep dish pie. She even managed to acquire some little gems for salad. Ridge provided the finishing touch. — 11 years ago

Very smooth Zin, good with or without food — 7 years ago
This is perfect for July 4th. Zin that tastes like zin but without the chocolate and oak. Could smell it for days. Palate is strawberry jam with stone, forest, and bright acidic fruit. If you like the minimalist wine movement, you must try this. Especially the 2016. — 7 years ago
100% Zin. Rich with plum, mocha and blackberry notes. Classic style of Zin with high alcohol but enough fruit and acidity to keep from going over the top — 8 years ago
A nice smooth ZIn! — 10 years ago

We enjoyed this Zin a lot. Tasting notes include all spice, floral, and strawberries. It’s potent with 15% alcohol. Paired well with dark chocolate and honey/garlic pork chops. — 6 years ago
