In contrast to the Riverain this was open for business right out of the gate. Meat, Violets and a little heat on the nose (you could smell it from a couple feet away!). Palate matched the nose minus the heat, awesome wine — 8 years ago

Decided to try two valley floor wines from two different killer winemakers. This was the first wine of the evening. Ruby red with purplish hues. Fruit forward nose with layers of dark raspberries, dark berries and plums. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Lots of dark fruits and needs some time to open up a little more. Slightly lighter in style than the Riverain Cab but definitely more fruits. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2030. — 9 years ago
