Good in that you can clearly taste the Belgian yeast and very appropriate in style- banana, Clove, and green cardamom. Tastes hot, but not 10% alc hot. Not original or different, but enjoyable — 9 years ago

My first Idaho wine and I have to say, this is good. Really good. Nicely perfumed nose of violets, black fruit and white pepper. Smooth and soft flavors of blackberry, ripe plum and black pepper. Only downside is the 14.8% alcohol gives a bit of heat on the finish. — 11 years ago
Ripe black fruit and slight phenolic (antiseptic) aromas. The phenolic burns off after a few minutes. Blackberry and cedar with a smooth, rich finish. — 11 years ago
Solid wine. Well balanced. Very nice. — 12 years ago
From the cellar. Big bold beefy Syrah, iodine, dark fruit just big and lingering in the mouth. Morgan (aka rain man) makes a mean Syrah but this shows they need some bottle age. Beautiful. Too bad he doesn't make this anymore. — 9 years ago

Last bottle of a case. End of summer. Just as enjoyable. Almost clear. Very crisp. Grapefruit and minerals. Good acidity. Summer at the beach in a glass. Excellent with clams, crabs, and corn. — 10 years ago
One of the best IPAs around, in my mind. — 11 years ago

Stunning vibrancy for a wine of such girth, balanced and alive, but this is about hedonism — 9 years ago
