I really like this. Its a bruiser, but doesn't feel over ripe. There are tar, tobacco, black cherry and citrus peel flavors . then the mouthfeel is rustic with medium but slightly grainy tannins. This in a good way. Great with an earthy rigatoni with Brussels sprouts.

Beaujolais all day! Nose shows candied plums, overripe banana skin, dense wet soil. Loving the juiciness and roundness of candied red fruit, boysenberry, and banana all backed by relatively modest acidity and structure in the absence of tannin. Loving the elusiveness of pinning down exactly what I'm tasting here and could see this being a versatile food wine.
