Huge with lots of good fruit notes solid acidity and enough tannin to last another 10 years — 7 years ago
Openned up after 2+ hours of decanting. jammy red fruit — 9 years ago
Undergrowth and soil were my first impressions, yet it quickly blossomed in the glass as notes of crushed raspberry and hearty seared meat came to the fore. The bouquet continued to open, revealing floral tones with a slight vegetal-mineral note, yet all the while remaining fruit focused. It was soft and finessed on the palate, if a little short, yet there’s still so much to love with its fresh, sweet red fruits and minerality. Ultimately, this may even flesh out with more time in glass, but it’s so hard to resist right now. The finish was more like a whisper than a statement, yet delivering pure sweet cherry and inner floral notes that seemed to go on and on. — 10 years ago
A lot earthier and more acidic than the Richebourg. Also given to us by a generous table in honor of Joe #latergram — 11 years ago
Tasted alongside the Richebourg, this has better volume, with bright red fruit imploding on the palate, transforming to raspberry perfume. Not the smoky underbrush character of the Richebourg, but the red fruit attack transforms to something beyond. — 11 years ago
Pretty incredible wine full stop. Not that familiar with super old burgundy but felt a little northern Rhône like on the nose but much more resolved and elegant on the palette. — 7 years ago
此瓶酒状态不佳。虽香气尽失但回甘持久 — 9 years ago
Developed superbly with 2hrs of breathing. Lovely Richebourg at or slightly past, its peak — 10 years ago
VA dominated nose - subdued after 30 minutes and a decant. Pure red and black fruit. Awesome mid palate and length! — 11 years ago
Fresh Cherry & kirsch on the first nose. Tobacco, tomato, leather, mushrooms, wet earthy notes, wax on the second nose !
Acidity and alcohol still present !

Very good! Opening up more and more... and more... and more... and... — 12 years ago
After about 45 minutes the funk did blow off leaving amazing aromas of Asian spice and forest floor, with a slightly olive finish. Terrific balance and clearly the tannic spine so characteristic of the 61 vintage has allowed this wine to age gracefully — 7 years ago
No. 2 in the Vosne Romanee lineup. My brief notes - Beautiful nose and palate. More intensity than No. 1. Interestingly the DRC Richebourg was described as having more “Star Power” than the DRC La Tache. Having tasted this Richebourg I can fully appreciate that comment. — 7 years ago
Rubis fonce
Nez fruit rouge épices terre un cru incroyable arrive l orange sanguine puis les agrumes
Bouche énorme de suavité de puissance et de plénitude
Finale à la richebourg puissante terrienne et gracieuse à la fois avec ces notes d orange
