Huge with lots of good fruit notes solid acidity and enough tannin to last another 10 years — 6 years ago
@Ron R @David L Thanks for taking this Pic Ron!!! The 90 was tight out of the bottle. The 04 was showing significantly better. Obviously, these aren't meant to be pop & pours. I found the 04 plateauing and to 90. Onto yes to evolve in the glass. I think this bottle has40+ years left in it. It's that good. I prefer Richebourg in comparison of DRC burgs but this was a Rockstar nonetheless. Such purity and Elegance prancing on your palate with a finish that lingered for minutes. I've been saving this bottle for a special occasion and last nights Wine Nerd Herd event fit the bill! 😍👏👏👏👏👏😍. Spectacular wine. The only thing better were the friends at our table. — 8 years ago

1978 Remoissenet Richebourg Grand Cru. Wine #4 of "Old Wine Night" at Chaya Venice w K, DS, McC, Andy. This wine was great. Great structure, fruit, tannins. We liked this. — 10 years ago
Fresh Cherry & kirsch on the first nose. Tobacco, tomato, leather, mushrooms, wet earthy notes, wax on the second nose !
Acidity and alcohol still present !

Very good! Opening up more and more... and more... and more... and... — 11 years ago
No. 5 in the Vosne Romanee bracket. My notes said “This is La Tache “ which proved to be wrong. All tasted blind to reiterate. Intoxicating aromas of florals red fruit and a hint of sandalwood. Similar energy on the palate but medium weight with some austerity at the finish. Not as full bodied as some DRC Richebourgs I have had. JH said “effortless complexity “. — 7 years ago
Openned up after 2+ hours of decanting. jammy red fruit — 8 years ago
2013 vintage. From Jay. Domaine de la Romanee Conti La Tache 2013 - Quick Note/Initial Thoughts: Lovely light ruby colour - really has sparkle. Strong presence of red fruits on the nose together with forest floor and brown spice - This is very special on the nose with fabulous balance between intensity and concentration. Across the palate the wine displays the power one always associates with La Tache but it is somewhat reigned in at this stage, however, the undercurrents are there and will certainly express themselves in time. Unlike the Richebourg that is playing its cards closer to its chest at the moment, this wine is clearly destines to be profound. 97/100. Drink 2028 to 2045.

No. 2 in the Vosne Romanee lineup. My brief notes - Beautiful nose and palate. More intensity than No. 1. Interestingly the DRC Richebourg was described as having more “Star Power” than the DRC La Tache. Having tasted this Richebourg I can fully appreciate that comment. — 6 years ago

此瓶酒状态不佳。虽香气尽失但回甘持久 — 8 years ago
Undergrowth and soil were my first impressions, yet it quickly blossomed in the glass as notes of crushed raspberry and hearty seared meat came to the fore. The bouquet continued to open, revealing floral tones with a slight vegetal-mineral note, yet all the while remaining fruit focused. It was soft and finessed on the palate, if a little short, yet there’s still so much to love with its fresh, sweet red fruits and minerality. Ultimately, this may even flesh out with more time in glass, but it’s so hard to resist right now. The finish was more like a whisper than a statement, yet delivering pure sweet cherry and inner floral notes that seemed to go on and on. — 9 years ago
A lot earthier and more acidic than the Richebourg. Also given to us by a generous table in honor of Joe #latergram — 10 years ago
Tasted alongside the Richebourg, this has better volume, with bright red fruit imploding on the palate, transforming to raspberry perfume. Not the smoky underbrush character of the Richebourg, but the red fruit attack transforms to something beyond. — 10 years ago
