Light ruby colour, dark cherry, full body, rich, almond finish. Went well with chicken cacciatore, & even into orange olive oil cake dessert. Italian night with good friends! :) — 8 years ago

On nose its floral aromatique, berries, sour cherries, licorice, and some spices as well.
On palate, wine is semi bodied, Medium acidity, smokiness, structure is firm and full of intensity, integrated tannis, cherries, plums.

@Delectable Wine this ID needs some work. Should be 20th Anniv. but not Sangio or a blend. This is 100% Merlot from the vast Ricasoli property. Though every one in the room thought it was (or included) Cabernet. Hugely structured and powerful, dark fruit, thick tannins. This needs a few years of aging to reach its potential - for now I was not a true believer. — 9 years ago
Really nice Italian red, everyone was surprised it was a chianti. Served with home made ragu and pasta. — 9 years ago
Smooth, but robust earthiness with low dry finish. Great dinner with Tim, Brian, Cori, and Lindsay at SGRC in Chicago 2023. — 3 years ago
Better vintage than the 2013 that I had. Worth the price. — 3 years ago
