Wow. So stinky yet light and refreshing. How do they do it?? — 8 years ago
Quite bold and fruity while still remaining pleasantly tannic. — 10 years ago
Delicious Galician white--rich and layered balanced by good acidity, honeyed yellow pit and orchard fruit with a touch of citrus, spice and smokey/salty minerality — 10 years ago
100% mencia , Raoul Perez is the wine maker. French oak on the nose but well integrated on the pallets with lush blackberry cobbler and a hint of caramel. Very fruit forward but has just the right amount of tannin to hold it together. Great bottle. If you can find it, get it. You won't be dissatisfied . — 10 years ago

Great balance between white pepper and minerality. A little too light for bbq but great for 2+ glasses with a full moon out tonight. 2012 Ribiera Sacra - Pena do Lobo. Nevermind the thirsty monkey #riberasacra #redwine #red #spain — 11 years ago

This beauty accompanied a meal at Mar de Ardura (may see a Michelin Star soon?). A Galician Ribeira - grassy, astringent, and great with seafood. — 8 years ago

Nice juicy Mencia with a balance of either licorice or rootiness to give it depth. I liked it. — 9 years ago

Deep and solemn dark ruby and crimson red with pretty brilliance. You can barely see your fingers through the wine. Very pleasing and complete nose of dark cherry compote and rubarb. Great depth on this wine right away, from entrance to third quarter. Very daring blend, showing high fruit and agressive tannins. High tannins supporting a fruit bomb that takes you to a very, very long and interesting finish. Structure and fruit galore that behaves like a young australian shiraz. Take this wine to a fine barbecue, rather than a paella. A hearty stew would do this wine well too. 91 pts. — 11 years ago

This one could be a crowd pleaser, but unique with the Touriga National base. Not a lot of spiciness from the Syrah comes through but just a touch of the funk. A light dustiness too, but the overall feel is fresh. I really like this one a lot. I'd serve it at a party. — 8 years ago
